Man I loved that movie when I was young. I wonder if it holds up.

Also, @GasBandit I'm glad you used 'casus belli,' as just the other day I used it and there was debate about whether or not one could reasonably expect people to know what it meant. Also I once I got to use "status quo antebellum," which I'll admit is a little more obscure, in a presentation and I was so pleased I cannot even say.

In my mind it does. I'm scared to watch it again, fearing it winds up like everything else with David Spade in it.

My mother was a lawyer, my father is a doctor. There'd been quite a lot of latin bandied around the house during my upbringing. Faux latin as well, my dad was always fond of "Illigitimi non carborundum." (Not-latin for don't let the bastards grind you down)

Just don't do what I tried and take a drink every time someone says "Kuzco". Peaks waaaaaaaaaay too early and then you feel terrible for a couple hours. BatB and "Gaston" works much better.

I've noticed the writing at Dorkly's started to suck a little less sometimes, lately.

Time for another edition of "Good Idea, Bad Idea."

The two are not mutually exclusive. A little sweet with a savory breakfast can be quite nice.
I fully agree. That's why you order both, such as bacon & eggs (both savory) and then add on toast or pancakes, both of which you put sweet things on, like jam (toast), or whipped cream, fruit, & syrup (pancakes).

Or do what I do, and make eggs over easy with a slice of havarti or cheddar cheese folded between and then drizzle some maple syrup over it. Delightful!

Is that "I don't know how to make an omelette and this is what I do instead?" If so, Alton to the rescue:

I freely acknowledge that some methods take a long time. His does not. But hey, as long as you're enjoying breakfast, go nuts.
Even heating up the frying pan is often too much for me. I only eat breakfast like 60 percent of the time and it's typically toast.

How very hilariously in line with what we have come to expect from China:

Nice try, Henan Zoo, but when a lion starts barking at me, I’m gonna know that something is up.

Chinese media and visitors of Henan Zoo are in an uproar after it was discovered that the zoo had replaced its real lion with a Tibetan mastiff dog. Officials at the zoo say that the dog was placed there after the lion was sent away to a breeding center.

The fraud of a lion was discovered after a mother visiting the zoo with her son heard the dog barking, instead of hearing the typical roar of the majestic lion. The woman visitor, surnamed Liu, was quoted as saying: “The zoo is absolutely trying to cheat us. They are trying to disguise dogs as lions.”

Reportedly, there are many inaccuracies at the Henan Zoo, with a white fox in the leopard’s den and another dog attempting to be passed off as a wolf.
