actually it would be as if it never existed. Removing it would kill her, but it has to have existed for it to be removed.
But given that it's around her neck and can't be removed, you can't completely dip the whole thing in without also dipping in her head and neck.

No, the leash would always have been that long. Like MinMax has never worn pants or Forgath's beard was always like that.[DOUBLEPOST=1382973540,1382973484][/DOUBLEPOST]edit: Damn! Ninja'd by @tegid!!

Thing is, Minmax's pants and Forgath's beard were not magic items. I don't know if there's even precedent about what would happen to the magic governing the rules of the leash, how it would react (it didn't destroy the sword, it made it Oblivious, remember?) - it'd pretty much be up to Thunt to decide. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable putting my life in his hands, given his track record.

It's such a pity that Kin's so... emotionally compromised by the situation. Because if she was able to examine the situation objectively, you can bet she'd realize something's wrong. She probably still has memories of, for example, hugging Minmax in the healing potion river. A rational analysis would tell her that she had good reason to trust Minmax, it's just that the reason is now missing. And there's an easy explanation for something being missing around here.

True... But that might/would not be enough.
It's not because you can logically conclude something, that emotion will follow automatically. Knowing something and feeling it are very different things.

I wonder, for example, what will or would happen to Kin of the Leash was Oblivion'd away. It's one of the most important things as far as her personality and character are concerned. What sort of rationalisation will she need to exmplain why she stayed with whatshisname? "It's like it never existed" sounds nice as far as magic goes, but it's damn hard to implement for things that have changed the past.

Also, Thunt has gone into detail on a filler day about how the oblivion holes work - they don't REALLY erase something, just remove the items and people's memory of them. It's not true that Minmax never wore pants, but everyone thinks he never wore pants despite the fact that that situation would have been quickly, easily, and possibly forcefully rectified the first time he went out in public without pants. It leaves these gaping logical holes. So putting the leash in an oblivion hole might do anything - it might make it so the leash never existed, but that would just leave Kin emotionally damaged for no apparent reason at best, and at worst, make everyone believe that Kin's always been dead because her leash was faulty from the start.

Thunt tweets:
I don't count this as a spoiler, since I've been telling everyone. We're sooo close to the end of the MoM arc and switching back to the GAP.
When the time comes, I'll piece together a sort of "previously on Goblins" thing to remind everyone what went down with the GAP.

Ok, now Thunt is just twisting the knife. Yep, they're the Crimson Twins now, and yet their separation is all but assured. Predestined even.

And to think, Kin and Minmax's parting may be down to that one spider, taking the blame for something far, far beyond him. Or her.

Heh, until she experiences the link too and can't explain it away. Then what a great story it will make when she quests to find Minmax.

I think there's a high chance she'll realize what's going on right now. Since she won't have any sort of injury on her hand, but she'll clearly see that MinMax has been bleeding.

I for one am not ok with the interracial mixing we are seeing here. IF YOU GOTS SCALES THEN THERE'S NO SALES. Thats what my register says at work, and that's what my heart says.

I see one more comic where he drinks. And then we're back to Goblins. This is a comic about Goblins, right?

Feelscrushing aside, I've actually rather enjoyed the Maze of Many arc. And I've kind of been dreading the imminent death of Forgath.

If Minmax survives the story, I can imagine a beautiful wrap-up to his storyline with Kin showing up with a look in her eyes of -I'm sorry and I'll spend the rest of my life making it up to you- or she can be standing over his grave. We'll see.

I went back and re-read the comics leading up to this from the goblin's side. Man, I forgot how awesome Kore's Lay on Hands thing looked. Those chain wings with the tortured souls on the end. Just great.

...Thunt is going to switch back to Dies' group now, isn't he?

Just to fuck with us.
Oh god, if it was one comic of them just doing nothing, that would be amazing. Or jump to that other group that used to be all drows and see their latest rolls.
