If you have a 360, ps3/4, or roku you'll also be able to watch it on your TV. The first live PPV available will be WrestleMania XXX so they're definitely going to have incentive to make sure their infrastructure is up to the task.

WWE PPVs have been available for purchase digitally before, I've never ordered one direct like that so I can't say how well it worked.

I wonder how much of that has to do with existing international agreements, versus infrastructure concerns. I know that Superstars (and NXT?) air on television overseas, they might need to get those out of contracts before they roll out internationally.

Women's wrestler Mae Young was taken off life support today and expected to pass on any time. It's strange, because reports of her death have gone back and forth, so even at almost 100, that old bird is still surprising us. Heh, probably threatening to show Death her puppies if he comes to get her.

(Ordinarily, I'm not one for tasteless jokes, but Young is/was apparently not only a tough broad, but REALLY dirty minded. This is stories from wrestlers backstage and the business is really filthy behind the scenes, so this is coming from THAT source.)

Articles about the Network (from real sources, not dirtsheets) are saying that WWE partnered with MLB Advanced Media to help provide the infrastructure. This is definitely good news, as MLB.tv is a great service.

At 80 years old, she took a power bomb through a table from Bubba Ray Dudley. Supposedly, he really didn't want to do that stunt, but Young told him she'd rip his nuts off if he chickened out.

I can't think of a reason why I wouldn't want to get it. I usually order 4 PPVs a year (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Money in the Bank, misc show they manage to sell me on) so it's worth it there. I pay for Hulu+ almost exclusively for NXT, that's moving to the Network so more value for me. The only aggravation is that it's not available until Feb 24th.

For such a lame crowd, they sure went absofuckinglutely nuts for D-Bry. That yes chant was pretty intense.

They haven't had a guy this over since Rock or Austin. But of course, they aren't taking advantage of that for the major matches. No, we get Cena and and Orton in a bland off. At least Orton can perform. He and Bryan have had awesome matches.

The Rumble sells the PPV. The title match is because they feel they have to have one, and to setup for WrestleMania. bryan in a title match at the Royal Rumble would be a complete waste.

I just...I mean, I watched this live with a group of friends and we were just all so shocked. We've seen crowds turn on wrestlers and we've certainly seen crowds turn on matches. But never in my 30 years of watching have I ever seen a crowd completely turn and shit on the entire product. I mean, they booed and chanted against not only the world title match but also the Rumble win. Sure, they've been mad about a heel winning, but not completely booing someone out of the building like this and turning on the whole product.

I really, REALLY hope WWE sees the light here and will do some serious re-modelling with their plans or the next two months will only get worse. Can you imagine what the crowd might be like if they go through with the rumoured Batista/Orton main event?

I don't think Batista was meant to be a heel though. He certainly wasn't when he entered. I think that's what amazed me most, the crowd was fine with him entering, they just rather he not win the Rumble. The crowd was great. I don't think I ever heard Ray Mysterio get boo'd before.

  • Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan had match of the night. I joked with my friends that I feel bad for everyone who had to try and follow it. Little did I realize...
  • Paul Heyman was the only thing that kept me even slightly interested in Lesnar beating Show mercilessly with chairs.
  • Love the crowd, some great chants throughout the night including "We want Divas" during the championship match.
  • Good job by Randy Orton for taking the fan's extremely vocal disinterest as a prime opportunity to engage them.
  • The Rumble was great right up until Rey Mysterio came out at number 30. It recovered well enough right up until the ending.
  • If they were not going to put Bryan in the Rumble they should have shuffled the order and had a heel come out last. There was only one person on the roster who wasn't going to get boo'd mercilessly, take advantage of that.

They should have had Bad News Barrett really cement himself with a number 30 entry.

"I HAVE SOME BAAAAD NEWS. I'M NOT DANIEL BRYAN!"

But then some people actually on the roster might have been able to take part and ALL of HHH's buddy's needed to be represented.

CM Punk wins title at elimination chamber to set main event
the undertaker picks Bryan as his wrestlemania opponent
Bryan breaks streak

Yeah, but they're basically bringing in Sting for the Sting-Taker dream match at Mania. So that's out.

You'd likely have a lot more irate fans if Bryan beat the streak. At this point, I think Taker should honestly retire with the streak intact.

Give Bryan to HHH and have Bryan go over really strong.

I'd be okay with the streak ending if it was to a younger guy who was also undefeated at mania. It would be super easy to build, you would still have a Wrestlemania streak coming out of it, and a new superstar.
