The Mighty DucksI didn't expect this to hold up as well as it did. I mean, it is still utterly ridiculous, but even though it hits every kids movie and every sports movie cliche, it does it well.
D2: The Mighty DucksNot so much here. Oh man this is so much worse than I remember it. Also, Iceland is your villain? Really?! Iceland? And the other teams the USA has to beat to get there are Italy, Germany, and TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO? What division is this?
Honey I Shrunk the Kids
The green screen stuff is god awful. They rotoed it so badly you can actually still see giant green patches around everything. The sets and animatronics and everything still hold up great, and again, it holds up better than you'd imagine it would.
Bender's Big Score
Been slowly introducing my roommate to Futurama, which has given me the opportunity to revisit the whole series for the millionth time. We finally got to the movies recently.
Bender's Big Score is still the best of the four Futurama movies, in my opinion. Even after the series returned, there were a lot of instances where things just didn't seem to properly fit in that universe anymore. Bender's Big Score doesn't have that problem. Although it doesn't hold up to the fourth season, it was a great re-introduction to the series that was true to its roots.
The Beast with a Billion BacksActually, surprisingly better than I remembered. I laughed more than I thought I would considering I'd already seen it multiple times before.
Bender's Game
This is such a low point for Futurama. I felt embarassed showing this to my roommate. The stuff before they get into the fantasy realm is actually pretty good Futurama, but the fantasy realm stuff is just Family Guy-esque lazy satire. Roommate was excited for this one, but even he only laughed once or twice throughout the whole thing.
Into the Wild Green Yonder
My thoughts on this are the same as when it first came out. It was a big step up from the previous two Futurama movies, but still nowhere near the quality of the 4th (PRODUCTION) season. Still, think this was a great way to (potentially) end the series. Now I gotta get my roommate to slog through the horror that is season 6 (or 7, or 5, depending on how you count). Man there's some terrible episodes there. Bender's Game was a low point for the series, but the season following the movies reaches its LOWEST point for sure.
