[Webcomic] PVP Discussion

Its kinda sad. The wedding arc was built up so much and pulled off so well. This has just kinda felt rushed. I'm sure now we'll get a week three days of comics where Brent and Jade are tired and frustrated over lack of sleep.
He has the actual life experience to write about a wedding, he had one, but since they can't have kids (just truth, not making fun or bashing) he doesn't have that experience to draw from. Scott writes well about things he's experienced, but we've seen in the past that he can't write about something he's only read about.

Yeah, I still check the comic everyday... I just can't seem to get any enthusism for it anymore. I kinda wish he'd end it and go do Table Titans full time, because at least he seems to give a shit about Table Titans.

I check this thread every few months just to see if there's a RiP PVP post.
I think the current state of PvP could be described as... In a care facility, a nursing home. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go home on hospice care within the next 2 years though.

Indeed, comic feels like its gonna turn off the lights and close down the place any second.

Onto the current comic, does anyone else hope that Leela should be a robot? I hope so because that would bring back some of this comics freaking whacky roots.

Recent comic:...does he think Miranda being insanely off-putting makes her funny? Well it doesn't. I just makes me wander what in Scott Kurtz mind decided to Macfarlanize her and make her a worse person with each passing year.

Remember a few years ago when Dylan Meconis did that fantastic run on the strip?

Scott should just bring her back to take over the comic full time so he can focus on Table Titans.

You know, that thing we said he should've done while Dylan was on her run.

What's kinda scary, is that was only last year.

Looks like another convention snuck up on Steve. I mean it's not like he has to arrange things weeks or months in advance, how on earth could he have a few strips prepared for it? :rolleyes:

Okay, just caught up on the strips.

They're ok. As many misses as hits, for me, but I got a few chuckles out of three years worth of strips, so I guess I'm all right.

Brent hopped up on painkillers during Jade's birth was amusing though.

Okay, today's wasn't bad at all. Though I guess Butler's name is Butler Butler (he told Cole at one point that Butler is his given name, and apparently also his family name as well) which reminds me of Major Major Major Major from Catch-22.

Jamessir Bensonmum ftw!

What everyone else said.

I was rather enjoying the post-birth arc with the f'ed up parental relationships... aaaand, lolbat. phoo.

I like the blog post.

script type='text/javascript'> var axel = Math.random() + ''; var a = axel * 10000000000000; document.write('
');
Oh wait! That's just a bad ad script. :thumbsup:

It might be amusing to see what happens if, every time he misses a day, we start trending on social media like Kurtz had died - #RIPKURTZ @PVPonline, etc. Honestly I doubt it would make a difference, because quite simply nothing so far has improved Steve's work ethic in the slightest. But watching him getting all pissed off might be kind of funny.

I know that now. Never seen her in anything but apparently Scott Pilgrim. I guess she's popular. The kids love her.
She did get that Oscar nomination for Up in the Air. I think the popularity is due to Pitch Perfect becoming a cult hit (and spawning her single), although I admit I've never seen it.

Depends, I think. There's "She's very cute/I think she's a pretty woman" type of crush, or there's "Mmmm, Anna....:unibrow:", which, yeah, creepy.
Yes, it's the creepy one. The exact words that made it official were "I am intrigued by the young, talented, and falsely modest
Anna Kendrick. Don't tell Pedobear." That was after he saw her doing the "cups" song thing on Letterman. Every so often he sends out something about her in an e-mail.

I know people give Scott a hard time about his lifestyle, but he is getting better at continuity, if the latest Table Titans is any indication.
