Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

That's right, I hugged you despite your cold. This better buy me some goodwill amongst the doomweasels. :p
Become my minion and enjoy complete immunity from doomweasel attacks until your inevitable betrayal causes me to throw you in the doompit.

:minionhappy:Minionism achieved! All hail the Weasel Queen!
Excellent. I'll send you the forms you need to fill out. Make sure you fill out form A2 completely, including how you want to be thrown into the doompit and where you want me to dump your body.

Sparring MMA tonight (medium contact), I threw a leg kick, as I am wont to do. I'm a pretty big, powerful guy and I have solid kicking technique, so there was... a bit of power to it. Unfortunately, my sparring partner checked it perfectly (unfortunately for me, I mean, he did precisely what he was supposed to do, kudos to him). My shin therefore connected VERY solidly with his rather pointy knee. Holy FUCK that hurts. I didn't Anderson Silva myself or anything, but still... OUCH!
I did this once sparring with a guy who had about sixty pounds on me. Adrenaline made me feel NOTHING... until later that night when I gently bumped it against something and thought I'd shattered my shin.

For your listening enjoyment, I shall whine about my cold symptoms to the tune of In the Hall of the Mountain King.

I am feeling very sick.
Runny nose,
Congestion too.
Now I have a fever,
Do I really have the flu?

Now it's gone into my chest.
It hurts to breath
And to talk.
When I go to sleep,
I'm up all night with a cough.

I just want to sleep all day
And all night
Curled in my bed.
The weasels are now here.
Will they eat me when I'm dead?

Being sick really sucks.
I'm always hot,
Then I'm cold.
I just have to say
This shit is really getting old.

I need Nyquil or aspirin.
Really anything that will help me fall asleep.
Cough syrup, but not Buckley's.
It tastes like I'm going down on a pine tree.
Orange juice or hot tea
Or just lots of rum with lemon!
Good night!

Disclaimer: this is meant in jest nobody get their panties ruffled
I would consider taking offense but you posted a video of literally my favorite band, so you get a pass. :p

I ended up chatting with her roommate/best friend and she cleared some stuff up. Unfortunately I'm just accepting that (as much as I hate to play the age game) G-I-A-D is basically a child and she handled things regarding our relationship as such. She's apparently done it to several other people, and she likely won't get better at handling things 'til she grows up a bit. But after getting some insight from her roommate, I feel better. I'm more accepting that things just weren't meant to be and shouldn't have been.

I won't say she doesn't deserve me, because that sounds harsh. But, basically that.

First step to movin' on, right. *rolls eyes* My step brother (who is 12 years older than me) didn't deal with all this random kind of shit that's gone on in my life. He married his high school sweetheart. BAM. DONE.

I know this pain. I'm sorry.

I remember once complaining about my coworker who was a 9/11 Truther to another coworker. She said, "That's stupid, everyone knows only the Pentagon attack was fake."
Considering that my uncle William, who works with USN Procurement, was in the Pentagon on 9/11 (on the opposite side, he was fine), that makes me furious.

Yeah, I mean I could but I don't like piriting stuff in general.

I could maybe wait for the TPB on one or two but but I don't want to go 6 months between stories on some.

Maybe I could drop The Walking Dead down to that status since it's progressing at a snails pace anyway.

I want to read more titles by Marvel but I don't want to $3.99 read them.
If you want to read more Marvel comics cheaper, without pirating, you might want to look at their Marvel Unlimited digital service. I haven't used it myself, but I've heard good things about it. Subscription ends up being about the amount of a comic book a month. They hold back comics about 6 months or so, but most every comic makes it on there. You'd be behind on the actual comics, but you could read them without large gaps between each issue.

Go digital and stay a month behind. The Comixology prices generally drop after an issue is a month old. I've been reading the IDW TF books, and some Image stuff. I think they drop everything in price once the latest one comes out.

[whine] But I wanna read hawkeye nooooooooowwwwwww [/whine]

But yeah I love my Comixology app. I've been catching up on Ms. Marvel which is still 2.99 which is just at that price of me wanting to read whats been a really fun story vs my comics budget needing to be not that high.

Why did I ever believe that having both kids in school full time would give me more time to do anything at all??? All I do is run errands, study, eat my lunch, study some more, then I have to go pick them up. I still have things to do!

First world problems rant.

Both my wife and I have wanted a dog for quite some time, and lately that desire has ratcheted up to 11. We don't have time, our situation's not conducive (we leave at 7 in the morning and get home at about 6-7 each night, and we work an hour away from home in different directions), and we tried fostering one (needed a home or he'd be put down) a couple years ago and it didn't work out*...so why the hell can't we stop going BUT PUPPY!!!!! every time we see a pit bull.

*We found a rescue for him. Story had happy ending.

Is there a reliable dog walker in your area? Someone who can take the puppy out in the middle of the day.

Pick one:

Positive Reinforcement: When you do your homework, I'll give you a cookie.

Positive Punishment: If you don't do your homework, I will whip the shit out of you.

Negative Reinforcement: If you do your homework, I will stop whipping the shit out of you.

Negative Punishment: If you don't do your homework, I will take away your ____*

*soul?

And profit.

Yeah no. Ever try that with a kid with autism? Who takes stubbornness to an art form? He will stare blankly at a wall and self harm to punish himself instead of just doing it.

Ehhhh, my son isn't severly autistic, I'd put him closer to Aspergers than anything more severe. But he is super stubborn oh god. We theoretically have his late penalties waived, but I'm not seeing evidence of that online and I feel like his special considerations are being brushed aside even though I have brought it up. I may just be stressing too much and it will all get fixed.

So the good news is that after digging through all of the math assignments he did and just flat out did not turn in, he's only missing 3, which he will work on during advisory (homeroom), so I only need to worry about keeping him on track from here. Also was given a reduced work option for his math homework so yay, hopefully once those grades get entered he won't be failing.
