[PC Game] World of Warcraft: Catch All Thread

WoW Community:

I know how much everyone was looking forward to this expansion, and once you were able to get in and start having fun, all the comments I've seen indicate that this is one of our best yet. But the quality of the content does not excuse the subpar launch experience we delivered, and I apologize for that.

The first two days of the expansion were not a great experience, with many of you facing high queues or significant gameplay problems. We worked around the clock to tackle the demand issues and technical challenges, and fortunately things started looking better on Saturday. While millions of you were able to get in and play over the weekend, with many already reaching level 100, others still ran into very lengthy queues, particularly on the highest-population realms.

To help address this, we’ve expanded the new instancing tech we used to improve queues on Saturday and we’re continuing the process of applying that to raise the capacity of all realms again. This will result in approximately double the prelaunch capacity on each realm, which should greatly reduce queue times for most realms if not eliminate queues altogether.

In recognition of the difficulties so many of you ran into when trying to play over the first few days, we're adding five days’ worth of extra time to every subscription in the Americas, Oceania, and Europe that was active as of Friday, November 14. Things are already in a much better place than they were going into the weekend, so I hope you’ll now be able to focus on having a ton of fun with this expansion.

I also hope you'll accept my apology and keep your faith in us. The support voiced by many of you as we worked through the challenges was immensely appreciated. We're extremely grateful to be part of such a passionate community. We love World of Warcraft, and we're very proud of this expansion, so stumbling out of the gates like this was very disappointing for all of us.

On behalf of the World of Warcraft development team, as well as everyone at Blizzard, thank you all again for your patience and understanding.

See you in Draenor.

Sincerely,
J. Allen Brack
Executive Producer, World of Warcraft

[DOUBLEPOST=1416341761,1416341678][/DOUBLEPOST]And with that they are totally forgiven. Class act. You watching this, Ubisoft?

FYI, there's an achievement for pooping in the outhouse in your garrison.
When I got that achievement, my camera zoomed to inside the outhouse and a GHOST WAS STANDING ON ME! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

If was the dead husband of my follower, Shelby, who I guess wanders the Garrison after the quest in which he dies. But still, don't jump on a guy while he is trying to go, dude!

Finally managed to scrounge up enough garrison resources from flying all over the continent picking up ground spawns to get my level 3 garrison. Had just enough left over to build a fucking lumber mill. :p

I'm LOVING having a stable. Not only is it neat that your favorited mounts will mill around in the stable, but the ability to farm without leaving your mount out in the world is GREAT.

I like my inn, especially the fact that I just got Milhouse Manastorm as a follower and I have a clicky that let's me turn into illusion Milhouse every 10 minutes, but not having a resource gathering building SUCKS REALLY BAD.

One little thing about followers I just realized I should mention. To a lot of people, the first instinct when a follower hits 100 is to shelf it from missions that give a lot of experience in favor of lower level followers that have not hit 100 yet. DON'T DO THIS UNLESS THE FOLLOWER IS EPIC QUALITY. You see, after hitting 100 a follower of uncommon or rare quality will still gain experience with a decently long bar. Each time they "level up" after this point will increase their follower QUALITY. So a uncommon will become rare, and then a rare will become epic. When it upgrades to a rare it will gain a new trait, and when it becomes epic it will gain a new skill and trait.

Any missions that give loads of experience, like the 8 hour missions that give 8-10k experience, should be saved for those level 100s. The lower level followers will easily level with the smaller missions.

I got 100 true steel ingots finally, now I have to decide if I want to make her some armor or make an ilvl 630 lvl 91 weapon, and then if I make a weapon, decide if I want to give it to an alt or sell it.

If I was a raider still, this decision would be easier. :p

Jesus, crafting takes so fucking long now. 100 ingots is a LOT. And you need it for each item.

Some things are just rare as hell. Like I got my trading post to level 2 and there's a robot inside. This robot needs 5 items to fix and they are so damned rare that there's only one on the AH right now and it's 10k - 30k depending on when you see it.

I'm already pretty close to full heroic gear (yay tank queues) so while the epic armor looks like a reasonable option, I'd only be raiding with pugs, or LFR, so I have a hard time giving a shit. I should figure out how much I can sell weapons for, I have heirlooms on plenty of my alts. But my rogue and shaman only have 1 weapon.... AHHHHHH. They can wait though, I'm already micro managing 4 garrisons. :p

I'm just saving up to make a soul of the forge. I know, I know, that's a lot of ingots to blow on a pet, but I want it so bad.

Since I can (theoretically according to the Internet) make a fuckload of cash selling weapons right now, that's what I ended up doing. At least, I listed it. Because I have no desire to haggle in trade. If it somehow doesn't sell, I'll make the thing that upgrades it to a 640 and use it myself.

Someone listed a pair of the crafted shoulder with optimal secondary stats for ret on the AH - for 10k gold. I don't think I've ever had such an easy decision.

LOL It only took one trash pull in MC to figure out who hasn't played Vanilla. The fail is hilarious. And Amazing.

Yeah, MC in LFR was a special kind of hell. People kept pulling 3-4 packs at a time and wiping us on trash - I don't think we had a single wipe on a properly pulled boss, and probably 8-10 on trash. Just ugly.

It's not even like it takes a long time to learn the basics ether. Getting to 40+ takes less than a week if you're doing every dungeon at least once and you'll have your shit down by the time you hit Blackrock. Besides... why would you skip vanilla if you've never played it before?

Shazzrah OMG. I do not recommend doing MC if you get angry at fail easily. I find it hilarious.
The even is going to last till January. I plan to let a week pass before I even attempt it so newer people get the content down. I still have some leveling and gearing to finish anyways.

When Blizz listens, they listen good. Personal Loot will be the default for LFD again, and the final boss of each dungeon will now have a 100% drop for every person. If you run a premade group and do NBG, the final boss will have 3 items to roll on, as opposed to 2.

So, I was leveling up my alt on moon guard tonight when without warning there's a 15 minute notice that moonguard will be shutting down. Check the realm support forums to find it's going down to fix a critical issue. Ok, whatever... hour and a half later it's finally back up, and I log in. And Dragonblight is now completely empty... no npcs whatsoever. No creatures, no monsters, no town npcs, nothing. Just other players. Very, very confused players.[DOUBLEPOST=1416616898,1416616861][/DOUBLEPOST]And while I was typing this, I got kicked out, and now world server is down.

I've had that happen before.
