[TV] Talk about the last TV you watched, the catchall thread

NEXT GRAVITY FALLS THEORY -
the ghost is Nathaniel Northwest, and he's just playing hide and seek with his Great great granddaughter.

I AM FULL OF ELECTRICITY!

Better Call saul has reignited my Breaking Bad obsession, so I restarted that on Friday night. Midway through the second season now. I forgot how fantastic even the early episodes of this show were. Makes me real excited for Better Call Saul.

Also just finished the latest episode of the Walking Dead. No comment, because SkytheRexx said all that needs to be said in the Walking Dead thread.

Watched the SNL40 special. Was cool to see some skits and such I'd forgotten about and even realize where some shit I've been saying for years now came from (aaaaaaaand, scene). Also, the ESPN commentary skit with Sudeikis and Forte had me crying.

"Nope, about 3-4 inches, and similar in girth to a kazoo. Makes the same noise, too."

Lates Gravity Falls
STAN IS NOT WHAT HE SEEMS. First cryptogram I decoded myself, PERSONAL MILESTONE!

Really though solid episode, nice little character development, funny little B-plot(not the best but pretty good) and some good scary imagery Also-
THE END IS COMING! TWENTY ONE HOURS- though for us it'll be a friggin' month. DAMN YOU DISNEY, and your weird schedules.

Yeah there were definitely a few points where I thought I should just turn it off, but the glory of DVR meant I could skip the boring/stupid stuff (looking at you, Californians).
That skit has never been funny, and Taylor Swift was the absolute worst. I don't know what accent she was going for, but it was somewhere between a Sloth from Goonies and a 12 year old with headgear.

Yeah, my dad and I were saying the same thing. The skit is always going on way too long, Swift was awful, and I wish we could have just gotten Spade's airline steward as a full skit instead.

Parks and Rec
Bye bye Johnny Karate. Also, how cool is it that Ben and Andy are FREAKIN' knights?! You could see the power seeping through him. And that ending bit with Andy and April was damned adorable, half near made me cry...okay it just made me cry.

And Mayor Gunderson was BILL MURRAY?! Way to make us feel the ultimate "What could've been" feeling. Gary's got some big shoes to fill. Ron's arc b-plot was really good, also the conclusion was REALLY funny. Kinda wish Typhoon had more appearances now.

Cartoon Network news

Lookin' forward to that Regular Show movie(PLEASE be in theaters). Kinda thought Adventure Time would be the first to get a movie in all honesty.

Glad "The Royals" got green-lit, even if it is just a mini-series.

POWEPUFF GIRLS hell yes!

Adventure Time mini-series(gonna be weird watching an Adventure Time plot NOT stretched out through every other episode).

"We bare Bears" and "Mighty Magiswords" sound fun.

A Steven Universe Uncle Grandpa cross-over special....not a crossover with Adventure Time which would make sense as its basically Steven Universe's big brother, but Uncle Granpa which is Steven Universe's neighbor from a block away...okay. I actually like Uncle Grandpa so I'm sure I'll think the special is good but....really?!

Scott Fellows made a show called "SuperNoobs" where the main characters are geeks, get ready to hear a bunch of not-pop culture jokes kids!

Transformers: Robots in Disguise, second show to use that name, and the infinityth series to miss the point of "disguise" completely. "I'm gonna make my alt-form a giant green dinosaur!" Oh Grimlock, I love you but you are so so so so SO dumb.

And Total Drama is still a thing, which is sure to disappoint its fanbase once again but they'll watch it because fuck it.

Steven/Uncle Grandpa - This almost makes sense, but only if they are willing to tone down the sheer insanity of Uncle Grandpa's world. Steven Universe is a fantastical show, but the consequences for things have always been closer to real life (Sadie still has her scar, Mr. Universe had a broken leg for awhile) than the cartoonish.

Total Drama - I haven't seen a bad season of this show, but only a few good ones. I guess it's cheap and fills the schedule, so whatever?

Supernoobs - Johnny Test only got so many seasons because it was dirt cheap to keep on the air. It certainly wasn't a fan favorite. I'm assuming this is getting picked up for the same reason.

Transformers - I'm guessing this is happening because the people who acquired The Hub (Discovery Family) have more fucking sense than Mattel ever did. Is Transformers: Beast Hunters (or whatever the new Prime-stlye show is) still on the air or did it get cancelled for this?

Powerpuff Girls - I'd be more excited if any of the original people were involved.

Total Drama is that weird kind of show that can range from okay, to good, to terrible from ep to ep to season to season. The best way to watch it is by thinking like the host and enjoy in the contestants pain and misery. If you think of them as characters with proper arcs and concrete personalities you'll get yourself in a world of hurt, especially in "All Stars".

It would be neat if the cross-over was canonical...very confusing but neat.

Sean Szeles is working on PPG though, he's pretty good.

And "Robots in Disguise" is supposed to be a sequel, that will be almost nothing like its predecessor.

And agreed on Supernoobs, Scott will never go away will he?

Adventure Time
SUSAN HAS NO GILLS OH MY GLOB! Also she's a cyborg apparently, TOTAL HUMANS FOUR! All in all a weird ep, with great end joke.

Steven Universe

I'm wondering if Garnet knew that Steven would see what they were about to do while he was away... and gave him her power not only so they wouldn't mess it up, but because the others would never understand why she wanted him to know? This is different than Amethyst bringing Steven to the Kindergarten, because she only did that to make him understand where she came from... and Pearl just refuses to say anything about it, despite the fact she clearly misses home a lot. Garnet could have known what he'd see, if her foresight also showed her what would happen if she gave it to him.

Regardless, now that the Gems (tried to) bomb the Galaxy Warp, it's almost a sure bet that the home world will try to come to Earth again, especially if Lapis Lazuli and Peridot have anything to say about it.

Probably yeah, and no way Pearl was in on it she coddles him to the Nth degree. And I hope they mention if they galaxy warp was destroyed or not next ep, cos otherwise that's gonna bug me. ALSO- I am glad to know the snow wasn't made by a gem so the argument on whether it can fucking snow in Delmarva WHICH I CAN!

And I wonder how the GDA are going to come to Earth, modified version of the warp, straight up space ships, who knows?

Well the gem bots came straight out of the sky and were being controlled by Peridot... but who knows how long it would take? They could already be on the way if the ships were slow enough. We already know that Gems have basically no concept of time or a poor one at best.

This is true, I bet their in their ships slowly coming to Earth while launching the robonoids to fix the warp pads. Also if the robonoids end up creating a GIANT warp pad to bring in the gem mothership that would be SO cool. A beam of light descends on Beach County, and as the light dissipates a MASSIVE ship reveals itself. And thus, THE RETURN!

I think she's too young to be Finn' mom. Like, she's probably what Marcelene and Bonnibelle are physically, if not a bit older. She's just very burly.

Also, Finn's dad looks like he'd 40 or more. His mom if probably around the same age.

Possibly, but given his dad's reticence to talk about her a few episodes ago, and her sudden reappearance, coupled with the confirmation that she/was human, that can't be a coincedence. Or if not his mom, possibly family.

Really enjoying Black Sails this season. It's the perfect kind of trashy sex and violence TV I've missed since Spartacus.

Jack Rackham rules.

I'm defs assuming related to Finn, but she looks WAY too young to be Finn's mom. Unless there was a cryo-pod involved or whatevs. Theoretically of course, I could be wrong.[/spoilers]
