Minor victory thread

Car is in the shop for bodywork from the accident last month. Other driver's insurance covers a rental. They gave me a Chrysler 200 S. All sorts of goodies became standard on cars since I bought that Suzuki.

Like a 9-speed flappy paddle gearbox. :)

It's little moments like these that remind me why I'm in love.

This was after I called her a monster.

ALSO TAKE NOTE, look at that battery. Look at it. Extended duration batteries are the best invention. I charged it YESTERDAY!

Sent out the application for my second teaching license today. I don't see any reason why I'd be denied, having fulfilled all the requirements, but I just have that kind of luck...Anyway, fingers crossed.

According to Kati (and her photographic evidence), two days ago Cary just suddenly started writing letters and numbers. Day before? The usual hieroglyphs. Next day? Completely recognizable characters. He's written one or two before but it always seemed like those were isolated incidents. It's like the "written language" part of his brain was like, "Ok it's day 2000, might as well get started" or something.

His progress bar on "handwriting" must have finally filled.

That's how I was with reading. One day, my grandmother was visiting and nobody would read to me. So I sat down, all pissed off, and stared at the book. One moment, hieroglyphs..the next, I knew what every word on the page was. I never had to struggle with all the slow progress steps of reading. I just had an epiphany and could do it instantly.

The thing that weirds me out the most about it is that it weighs about 280 lbs. That's about a third of the weight of a jetski, and it (in my opinion) it's much more fun and definitely quieter.
