I'm not sure, but I'd probably hurry up about seeing the Polar Bear in the wild. They've been slowly dying out because of global climate change... the ice flows they'd hunt seals won't support their weight anymore. Also, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to climb the pyramids now.

1. Visit every continent
2. Get a book/collection of essays/short stories published
3. Play one more house show, preferably with my brother
4. Live outside of Louisiana for at least 5 years
5. Ride a horse without being bucked/getting scared
6. See whales
7. Visit every US state
8. Finish a children's book
9. Climb a mountain
10. Re-learn Spanish
11. Ride in a hot air balloon
12. Learn how to dance
13. Work at a bakery
14. Teach an adult (or many) how to read
15. Take painting classes
16. Be in a play
17. Go 1 year using mostly mass transit/bikes/walking
18. Visit 100 museums
19. Take a long vacation with my siblings

I'm... having a really hard time with this. I can't believe there's NOTHING I want to do! I mean, there ARE things I want to do! But they seem like short term goals more than "things I want to do before I kick the bucket" things.

Let's see...
1) Revisit everywhere I've ever lived to see how it has changed.
2) Visit a number of European and Asian countries
3) Demolish a multistory building
4) Author a video game

And I guess we're also putting things on there that we're glad we did (crossouts) so..
Get carried/thrown out of a night club too drunk to stand
Have a threesome
Drive something faster than 130mph
Talk my way out of getting arrested (x2)
Go to a video gaming convention
Throw a party worthy of a movie being made about it
Eat something I killed and butchered myself
Go on a cruise vacation

... I'm drawing blanks after that.

I had a job once that involved bopping electronics with a rubber furniture mallet, I'd say that's almost as cathartic.

But it was proof to me that anything gets to be a chore if you are paid and have to do it.

I didn't hit a car or machine, but I helped tear out the walls of my grandparents' home when I was renovating it. I got to use the sledgehammer on them. So satisfying!! It made me consider a career in demolition for a brief moment.

Honestly, I've done the things I wanted to do, when I was a kid. I became a Marine, I became a cop, I got married, and I had kids.

I, like Dave, would like to see Australia and New Zealand. Also Japan and Mongolia.

Aside from those? Honestly, everything after this point is just gravy.

EDIT: Actually, I did think of a couple. I want to get behind the controls of a plane again, (maybe even get my license), and at some point, I'm gonna take about 3 months and hike the Appalachian Trail.

I'm fortunate that's I've hit most of the items on my "bucket list" already. (Also, it wasn't a huge list.) At this point, I'm really just happy to have my family in good health and not broke. But looking at all your lists, I think I may want to come up with a new list of my own!

I want to become the best in the world at something before I die. Anything. Maybe it'll be something meaningful, such as winning a gold medal at the Olympics, or setting a record for the biggest number of people saved at once from a burning building. Maybe it'll be something trivial, like topping the global ladder in some game or another. Maybe it'll be something silly, like having the biggest collection of porn in the world (I'm working on this one).

So far I've managed to achieve the highest global scores for certain songs in Audiosurf, but that doesn't seem satisfying enough. So I consider this bucket entry as-yet unfulfilled.

I don't have a formal list. These are off the top of my head:
Travel is on the list.
Raise kids that are decent, thoughtful productive members of society.
Save a life(s) or find something in science that will help a ton of people.
Have a real band and play a real gig.
Start a custom wood shop.
