I never bothered updating the software I use for my image hoard (Tiny Web Gallery), and it turns out there's all kinds of nasty vulnerabilities in it that basically let phishers run a scam from a folder on gasbandtry.com, trying to impersonate USAA to defraud people.

Took the hoard offline. Downloading all the images from it, going to completely delete the folder and start over with a fresh install of the latest version.

Grumble grumble pain in the ass.

So, I've been alone for a week. My wife and kids went on vacation without me. Nothing nefarious. I just planned to separately go to my parents to check up on my dad. Then they had plans, and I realized I had forgotten to arrange something for the cats, so I stayed here. I would've shifted my vacation, but then I'd be separated from them for twice as long, and I have things at work this week I cannot reschedule. I did basically nothing for the last week, which was much needed. Haven't really heard from my wife, even though I called her like 30 times. My son called me once. Anyway, getting kind of lonely.

Kind of weird, though things have been a little rough between us lately. Maybe she just wanted a break.

Tapatalk on Android somehow is worse than the ios version. Can't even mark a topic read and the oy way it goes away is if i log on a browser or reopen the app.

I finally just started loading the site in chrome. A big screen phone has its advantages.

Trying to reinstall XP from scratch and get all the updates now that Microsoft has ended official support is SO HARD.

Finally going ahead with the upgrade I've been putting off for a while now. I've had this machine for quite a while now (built it in early 2012) and bought a pair of server-grade 1TB drives looking ahead to a day when I would replace the single drive I had in it (a WD Green 500GB) with those two RE3's in RAID-1. I already upgraded the video card and I had collected the hardware needed to install the two new drives, a couple of bigger RAM chips, and a retail copy of Win7 Pro. A lot has happened since then with family and finances, and so I finally had all the pieces together for a while and thought since I was off Tue I'd finally make it into the dual-boot XP/7 machine I envisioned when I built it. Hilarity ensued. I'll go into more detail in the rant thread later.

AAAGH I thought I had a handle on everything finally but it turns out that the oldies station football shit starts this friday TOO! I hadn't even gotten started on that because I thought it didn't start for another week or two! THIS IS SHIT it's a scrimmage even not even a real game and OH MY GOD remember last year? Where our commentators were completely lost because everybody just started running laps and they couldn't tell what team was on the field when? THIS PROMISES TO BE JUST AS BIG A CLUSTERFUCK AAAAAAAA
