I'm not convinced even Skull Island is going to get made, let alone a new King Kong vs Godzilla, so I'm not getting excited for anything yet . As it is, with this rumor plus the rumor of Mothra appearing in Godzilla 2, and the chance of a Pacific Rim crossover, they're setting up too many good guys. Kaiju movies don't really work like The Avengers, and when Godzilla fought Kong and Mothra, he was a bad guy. They need to be figuring out some villains for this whole thing.http://collider.com/king-kong-godzi...utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=collidersocial
Well, this should be interesting if it happens. I imagine @Zero Esc will try to be the first one in line.

Legendary wanted to produce a sequel to del Toro's Pacific Rim, which was made under the Warners deal and turned into one of those films that grosses a lot ($411 million worldwide) while being so costly that a follow-up isn't a sure thing. Sources say Legendary liked that the original performed exceptionally well in China, where the company is heavily invested, but for now the project — which had been ramping up to make a release date in August 2017 — has been halted indefinitely and will be pushed back (if it gets made at all).
I'm reading this book right now. It'll be interesting how they handle the story considering for the most part it's inner dialogue. Probably pull a Cast Away and just have him think out loud. The early reviews for "The Martian" look promising. I will allow myself some cautious optimism.
I'm saddened by this news, but not disapointed if that makes any sense. Pacific Rim was a good movie with a beginning, middle, and end. If there's never any more it won't feel like we're losing anything.Looks like there will be no Pacific Rim 2.
You can see some of it in the trailer, with him talking to the screen. I'm looking forward to the movie, and think it will work better than the book. First person narrative can be difficult for me to enjoy sometimes, and it was my least favorite thing about the Martian. Came across as more boastful than difficult and suspenseful. I think seeing the problems rather than being told about them will help a lot.I'm reading this book right now. The news is delayed, but considering the stance of that delay, yeah, probably no sequel.Looks like there will be no Pacific Rim 2.
You mean the other movie he isn't getting, along with Mountains of Madness, Frankenstein, and Silent Hills.I'm saddened by the Pacific Rim 2 news. I dug the hell out of the first one.
On the bright side, this might free up Del Toro to finally make Hellboy3.

I don't think he's getting a third Hellboy, considering how weird the second one was. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Golden Army but a lot of people were turned off by some of the odder shit for some reason.I'm saddened by the Pacific Rim 2 news. I dug the hell out of the first one.

Shame, because Ron Perlman sounds psyched about del Toro's idea for it. Basically, Hellboy has to fulfill his duty to bring the Apocalypse, but his two children may affect those plans. One is absolutely stunning in beauty but a cruel soul, while the other looks monstrous yet is a saint.I don't think he's getting a third Hellboy, considering how weird the second one was. This is why we can't have nice things. They're probably right.
That was a big summer. Iron Man, Indiana Jones 4, Kung Fu Panda, Dark Knight ... not surprising Hellboy 2 got lost in the shuffle.Much as I love the Hellboy movies, I know they haven't done well in theatres. The first one did well, but not well enough for the company, so they jumped to Universal.
And then the second one got trounced by The Dark Knight.
Stan was asked about the comments by Collider and said, “Yeah, I’m sitting here and I’m listening to you and I’m thinking, ‘Do I want to fire some shots at DC right now, at Zack Snyder?’ I read some of those comments where he said something about Batman and Superman, I can’t remember where I read that, somewhere.”
He continued on saying, “Something about, ‘It’s not going to be your flavor-of-the-week Ant-Man.’ And I was like, ‘Oh thanks, Zack. That’s great. Way to do something original.’ But I would say we’re still making something very original in our own way. I mean, the Russos are coming in and taking something people are used to and they’re shaping it up and changing it in a very different way. They’re not trying to mimic a better Christopher Nolan movie or something like that.”
They’re not trying to mimic a better Christopher Nolan movie or something like that.So Sebastian Stan decided to return fire at Zack Snyder...

*slowly sheepishly raises his hand*WHO THE FUCK WOULD WATCH THIS?
Let's just hope they don't adapt that one scene from the show into the movie that was a direct rip-off of the Incredibles. The anime series Tiger and Bunny is being developed as a live-action movie. It will be a joint work between ANEW (All Nippon Entertainment Works) and Imagine (Brian Glazer's production company).

Film schools/film majors....a 90+ minute long movie is a SINGLE UNINTERRUPTED TAKE.

Had me at Edgar Wright, lost me at Johnny Depp. Damn that was fast.Edgar Wright may be potentially directing an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's children's book Fortunately, the Milk, with Johnny Depp as its potential star.
