Favourite part about making a truly, truly heinous character in New Vegas was when I'd forget just what a beast I'd made just in time to be caught off guard by a VATS close up and repulsed all over again. That's what I thought at first too, but then I realized I still see myself in VATS. Plus, sometimes it's just fun to go into third person mode and admire how good I look.
My Alien: Isolation videos you watched don't fall into any of those categories, so I have no idea why you watched them except to see me fail.Let's Plays are mostly worthless except for :
- Showing me gameplay vids of the game I want to know about (for like 1 minute).
- Walk-through for a specific section.
- Guy is actually showing me something interesting, particularly a strategy or a review of a game that hold high entertainment value.
Also, saying "like my video" ensures I don't and won't watch your next one.
iT WAS HIGHLY ENTERTAINING.My Alien: Isolation videos you watched don't fall into any of those categories, so I have no idea why you watched them except to see me fail.
In short, they make us feel more successful and accomplished than we do in real life.
My thoughts on this is that it's going to be some time until some PS3 games see re-release because of the weird architecture the system was built around, so it might be worth keeping the system if there are games on it that you can't get anywhere else (such as Ni No Kuni) that you want to play. Otherwise, I HIGHLY suggest eBay first: PS3s are generally worth more to other gamers than stores because of the games issue.Since getting my gaming PC this past Christmas, I've been thinking of selling my PS3 and the few games (about half a dozen). Really, the only reason I even keep it is for Netflix and my small collection of BluRays. Which I suppose I could just get a BluRay player for.
But yeah, been thinking of selling it off to EB Games and use the credit to buy a Steam card.
Honestly, I own Ni No Kuni and never got around to playing it much. I got a bit into it (enough that I had a party of people, not just the boy), but then my system crashed and I lost all my saved games. So I haven't really felt motivated enough to play through the whole thing again. Honestly, the only other exclusives that I haven't played that I might be interested in are the Kingdom Hearts games and The Last of Us. And I find, despite being somewhat interested to play them, the interest hasn't been enough to actually buy them.My thoughts on this is that it's going to be some time until some PS3 games see re-release because of the weird architecture the system was built around, so it might be worth keeping the system if there are games on it that you can't get anywhere else (such as Ni No Kuni) that you want to play. Kingdom Hearts is getting 1.5 and 2.5 editions on PS4. Last of Us has an HD rerelease on PS4 as well. Really, the only BIG name game that hasn't gotten a re-release in some form on the PS4 is Ni No Kuni. Even Valkeryria Chronicles is getting a PS4 edition and it already has a good PC release.Honestly, I own Ni No Kuni and never got around to playing it much. I'm still waiting on a proper PC release of Final Fantasy IV. And that's probably never gonna happen.Dragon Quest Heroes getting a PC release. Lightning Returns too, for the one guy who likes the Final Fantasy 13 series and doesn't have a console.
I may not always like the games that Square Enix puts out, but I love the fact that their Western studios are more than capable of porting console games well.
Steam already has the DS /iPhone version of Final Fantasy 4, which is perfectly enjoyable and some fun extra stuff you really don't need to worry about if you don't want to... Basically extra abilities you can get and equip to people to let them do different things (usually related to people who leave the party) but the game is balanced around not having them if you want to play old school. It looks like crap by modern standards but the game itself if great... I genuinely enjoy it more than the SNES version that had a lot of stuff just chopped out. After Years is up there too, if you want to play it for some reason. If you REALLY want to complain, the Final Fantasy 6 people have a much better case. Their only recent version was an ugly, buggy iPhone one.I'm still waiting on a proper PC release of Final Fantasy IV. And that's probably never gonna happen.
I'd settle for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5.
As someone who never got to play KH, I'm kind of excited for it.Steam already has the DS /iPhone version of Final Fantasy 4, which is perfectly enjoyable and some fun extra stuff you really don't need to worry about if you don't want to... AS for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5... I really don't know why that hasn't happened yet, unless Sony is helping them fund the games for exclusivity. That's basically the only reason I can think off.
NOPE.Steam already has the DS /iPhone version of Final Fantasy 4
Well it's all you're getting for awhile... at LEAST until the next round of remakes, assuming they don't just keep porting the old ones like before. And it's heads and shoulders above the iPhone remake of FF6.NOPE.
Probably because the DS/iPhone version has voice acting and cut-scenes that actually look decent. Yes, the polygon 3D does not hold up.Dear god, that's terrible.
And as far as FF IV goes, I'm sorry, I don't like the polygon 3D style. It's not what I grew up on. I don't see why they released that when they had the fantastic remake on the PSP, which included After Years, too. It kept the original sprite look, but upgraded it. And I thought it looked fantastic.
It's just something Square does. They did a multi-game one in 2010 and another in 2013.Why is there a Bravely Default Christmas album?
Okay, I didn't realize it was a thing of theirs. I couldn't remember if there was something Christmas-related in Bravely Default that I missed.
Soon to be the PC version as well.Well it's all you're getting for awhile... at LEAST until the next round of remakes, assuming they don't just keep porting the old ones like before. And it's heads and shoulders above the iPhone remake of FF6.
Look at that hack job. They've got two competing art styles going because they didn't make HD sprites for most enemies (so they are mostly sharp instead of smooth) and the HD character sprites look weird because of the smoothing, having lost most of their definition in the process. That's not even getting into the weird art issues this and Final Fantasy 5 have because they were lazy as hell when they remade the maps for each area. They made changes to the battle system as well.
And they'll look at the poor sales and wonder why it's doing so poorly despite the fans. Square Enix has no grasp of their audience anymore.
