There are some pretty good essays on how baby it's cold outside is a mutual discussion about sex within the socially acceptable parlance of the time. Like she's giving all the required protestations but she's not really interested in leaving. After all, she keeps coming up with excuses. For example "what's in this drink" is supposedly a contemporary excuse for just having to go lie down in a mans quarters, and not a roofie/mickie reference. Etc.I'd say pointing out the awfule messages in Rudolph and Baby its Cold Outside are practically a christmas tradition now.
