[Gaming] Diablo 3 : Ser Farm-A-Lot

The Dog and Gargunantuan buffs are quite needed, as they are iconic skills that sort of become worthless after a point.
The trouble with most pets in general is that they are more useful for the "use this pet, get this benefit" effect than they are as a tank or source of damage. The trouble with dogs/gargantuan (gargantuan especially) is that their primary benefit IS as the source of damage, so their usefulness fell off quickly since their damage output is sort of like that of followers in that they plateau at a certain point and don't really get the boost from sets (except Helltooth) that other skills get.

Arachnyr completed. You really don't need to do a lot of damage on these. I had to de-power as I was doing too much damage

Oh great. Finally get to sit down at 10pm but they finally released the 2.4 patch. I checked this morning just so I wouldn't have to wait when I got home. Stupid chores.

Your first extra stash tab is yours for 500,000 gold, but the rest have to be earned in the season journey. And not once per level, you have to get all the way through and finish the second-to-last journey in order to get it. In other words, you have to finish the journey I had just started with only a week or two to go until the end of the season.

--Patrick

I'm completely lost on what you mean by the "second-to-last journey". Finish the story on Torment? Play every character to 70? Paragon 500? What the heck do you mean?!

NVM, looked it up. Ok, I understand they focus on high level/end game play, but...Fuck, I don't think I've ever even achieved Slayer level, anywhere, anywhen. Granted, the cube didn't exist yet last time I palyed, and some other stuff has been tweaked, but still. Sheesh.[DOUBLEPOST=1452741532,1452741363][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, most of those are either next-to-impossible single player, or far harder SP than MP. Boooh!

I dunno. I mean, I was sort of contemplating giving it another go, and Greyhollow and such make me curious, but on the other hand, looking at these achievements and such...The gamer they're aiming at - which means, not just the top 100 or so but what they consider an achievable level of play - is just miles and miles ahead of me. I'm still happy when I manage to find more than 2 pieces of the same set to wear at the same time! :p

I know, I should just play my game and ignore what others do, but it makes any accomplishment feel kind of empty, knowing others did about 10x that, 20x faster, and 30x better, with cherries on top. Like that one time I logged onto the US servers and Squidley leveled me. On the one hand, awesome. On the other hand...it was like a different game. That character leveled almost as much in one short play session as all of my other characters over several play-throughs combined. Makes it all seem kinda useless.

It's hard not to, now. There are even separate dungeons for sets.

That's not a fair comparison. I speak some French, but if I were to visit and you whirlwinded me through all the social interactions speaking for me, interpreting for me, would I consider that "unfair?" No, you just know French much better than I do. And because of that, you would be in a position to help me level my French faster than usual.

My French really isn't that great, it's nowhere near as good as my English and I no speek well ;)

but I get your point ;)

So I completely finished the season journey including a solo 60. Do I get the stash or do I need to re-do it?
You need to redo it.
Because you only get the stash tab if you complete the "Conquerer" journey in season 5.
Completing the one from last season just got you the portrait frame, etc.

I set that up on purpose to get you to 70 ASAP though :)[DOUBLEPOST=1452783007,1452782951][/DOUBLEPOST]

But re-do it starting from Friday?

Right, starting from Fri.
Today is just more "get your stash in order and play with the new toys and plan your build" time.
Also if you want a head start on what to look forward to, you can check here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/3ze5th/complete_list_of_season_5_journey_requirements/
That way you'll know what to target instead of having to wait for each one to unlock before you can see the requirements.
They say they made solo rifts easier, we'll see.

They weren't that bad with the right sets last season. Heavy emphasis on the right sets.

In the last season, I had a Carn set for groups with over 2 million dps. For solo it sucked. I had to build a Helltooth set for solo to finish the journey and no way would a group take me with that set.

Had that happen a lot while farming for gear.

Oh, they did. I'm already pushing 5 levels higher, comfortably, than I was before.

The boost in paragon levels didn't hurt, either (from combining seasonal exp + non-seasonal exp).
As it was, I was higher in exp from just that season alone than I was in all my previous Diablo-ness combined. I suspect that's why they nerfed exp gain so much, because TX and GR45+ just provided so much of a boost to exp gain.

--Patrick

Last season I got more exp than all my other time combined as well. There's a scary thought.

My push tomorrow night will be fun with an eye patch lol.

I don't get those, I'm on console

That bothers me! Just like those fools who wanted 800+ paragon for T8 speed clears. Really?? Elitist BS belongs in your clan.

Gotta work at 7a Sat, 7a on Sun.
Gotta sleep!
(But at least I managed to clean out 2 char slots before I went to bed on Fri)

--Patrick

Just cleared 65 solo with the wrong skills on. Takeaways are that the new version of Leapquake is really, really fun and that 70 should be pretty easily doable by the end of the season (or a week from now, whichever).

Which ladder? I did some crazy high group ones yesterday :)

Things are moving so much faster than last season. On day two I'm doing 60s as a group...it was much later into the season last time.
