How the hell does Flash have dream travel powers?
No, Synder's reason for throwing him in and killing him was "to have fun with the character".How the hell does Flash have dream travel powers?
Also, the whole Jimmy Olsen thing--Snyder's reason for throwing him in and killing him was that they didn't have room. If this was a Marvel movie, they wouldn't have said that. They would've made it work, because they understand the need for narrative layers, for main characters and supporting characters.
Snyder is a fucking idiot.
Apparently Mercy was in the explosion that Lex Luthor organized with the jar of piss. So, she's dead too. Probably same reason.Snyder has fun by having a beloved character gruesomely murdered anonymously.
Which is stupid... unless they bring her back as a cyborg/robot like they did in the comics.Apparently Mercy was in the explosion that Lex Luthor organized with the jar of piss. So, she's dead too. Probably same reason.
Let's not forget the bit where he addresses complaints about his version of the characters by saying basically "Well that means you're not a real fan because I'm a better fan than you are so I must be right."Wait, they killed off Mercy Graves too!? What the hell...
Is it wrong that I am hoping so much that this movie does not make it's 800 million investment? I don't want this to be a success for WB/DC, because I can't stand the direction this is going or the baby like bullshit Snyder is pulling. At least when Jon Favreau got sick of making Iron Man he graciously moved on, I feel like Zack Snyder is like "I can make money and piss people off too? Sure. Why not. Fuck those nerds".
The Batman vs. Superman director was a guest on the Hall of Justice podcast and he defended the controversial choice to make Superman a killer.
“People are always like ‘You changed Superman.’ If you’re a comic book fan, you know that I didn’t change Superman. If you know the true canon, you know that I didn’t change Superman,” Snyder explained, before quickly adding, “Yeah, I changed him a bit.”
If that leaves you a little confused, Snyder elaborated on his thinking. “My point is that we don’t take liberties. What we’ve done is create a place where they can really be the mythological characters as designed in the comic books.”

I like how Lois is all "they're willing to go places you're not"... as if Supes actual villains aren't also willing to kill?
Even if they don't make the investment back, the opening weekend was a success, so they will call it a success and plow forward. The moment one of them has a ho-hum opening weekend, we'll see a shake-up in the plan, because WB is weak.Wait, they killed off Mercy Graves too!? What the hell...

I would welcome an Injustice movie. I'd definitely prefer them going all out Injustice, rather than the amalgamated perversion they've actually made.I kind of have to agree with the sentiments of a lot of the critics: they CLEARLY want to make an Injustice movie because it's the only "event" that has really made them any money lately, but the entire weight of Injustice lies on having a Superman who is benevolent becoming a despot. The Superman that we have been exposed to is one that I'd hardly call "benevolent" and it's not like Batman is being portrayed any better, so where is the dramatic weight of the film? Fuck.
The really crazy thing is that WB/DC could have used the cultural awareness of the main characters that they are trying to tap into with BvS to completely reverse Marvel's roadmap. The first movie of the DC universe could have been "Justice League". The audience doesn't need to have any of the DC trinity characters explained to them. Most of the other heroes aren't hard to explain: the Flash (he's really fast), Aquaman (he's strong and can breath under water), Green Lantern (magic ring that makes boxing gloves), Cyborg (he's a cyborg, thus the name), etc. A decent creative team could have audience up to speed on the JL in the first fifteen minutes of the movie (even with no movies to set up anyone beforehand.) Heck, Joss Whedon could probably do it in one long take before the credits. You want us to imagine that WB stopped the "we don't want to be Marvel" shtick, and actually followed Marvel's example of laying groundwork for a shared universe by hiring good directors each suited to the material they'd be working on.
And the imagination is the only place you'll be seeing that.
I feel like this would further the point that WB has no faith in all this. Marvel is playing the long game, but WB wants to rush out their big stories as quickly as possible, probably in case this tanks. But lets say it doesn't and they've done Injustice and Darkseid--then what? The really crazy thing is that WB/DC could have used the cultural awareness of the main characters that they are trying to tap into with BvS to completely reverse Marvel's roadmap. Probably, but I like it here. There's lots of candy and no Zack Snyder. And the imagination is the only place you'll be seeing that.
There are 2-3 people here at work who are always singing this song. It's a great song. It says a lot. But they sing it a lot.Probably, but I like it here. There's lots of candy and no Zack Snyder.
Come with me/ and you'll be/ in a world where Superman's a hero
No snapped necks/no Batfleck/ in a world where Superman's a hero
Snyder's gone/ Jimmy lives on/ in a world where Superman's a hero
The Justice League/ can still be/ if you truly wish it to be
They could reach back a little further and do a movie of Rac Shade in all its Ditkoesque glory. They wouldn't even have to change the plot.Or if they really wanted to do some grim, dark shit, they could have done a DOOM PATROL movie.
I hope this is true, and I hope they do it well. This movie should be a hybrid of good action and comedy. Going grim and serious would ruin it.Birth, Death, Movies has an interesting article about Suicide Squad. WB/DC has authorized tens of millions of dollars in reshoots to make the movie more humorous and to lighten the tone. Apparently, the studio realized that the more playful elements of the marketing campaign were the parts that really connected with the public and those elements did not accurately reflect the actual film. Reportedly, the Bohemian Rhapsody trailer includes all of the jokes in the current edit of the movie!

"What do we need to reshoot Ghostbusters for? It's already got plenty of jokes! I mean, did you see how sassy that black woman is?"This movie comes out in four months. I wish them luck.
Maybe if we're lucky, Sony will authorize reshoots for Ghostbusters.
Hey man, good to see you.i want to know everything about the jar of piss in this movie.
