Big Assed Dragon, Coldhands, A Girl Who Has a Name...

I thought this was a good episode.
I remarked to Dei that the reason why the rest of the episode was so meh was because they spent its whole budget on 90 seconds of hollering from/at a dragon.

Also, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there wasn't going to be a Coldhands, but perhaps Benjen is there to do Coldhands' thing.

I'm just cranky at any episode where Tyrion makes no appearance and nobody dies.

I always assumed that Benjen was Coldhands, and I was pissed that he was not there to guide Bran the last few miles to the three eyed raven.

I think JRRM said that Benjen was not Coldhands, but damn, he sure had the same description. And I am a little sad that Coldhands did not have the Moose/Elk mount.

The fact that nobody is posting anything is testament to how "meh" this week's episode was.

Episode should have switched up the scenes with Daenarys on the dragon and Arya snuffing out the candle.

At this point ol' Kaleesi has given so many "WILL YOU FOLLOW ME TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH" speeches that they've become trite and underwhelming. Plus, weren't the dothraki already sold on her as their leader anyway - after the Khal burning and nudie firewalking? That scene seemed very forced and out of place - pacing wise.

The scene where Arya forsakes the Faceless Men was far more dramatic and tension building. Would have been the better final scene, especially fading out to black when she blows out the candle.

Bonus complaint

Did this fucker grow to two times his size since her capture? How long was she with the Dothraki? Like a week?

I totally agree with this, unless the theories being floated about her gradually turning into the maniacal, power-mad conqueror villain (A.K.A. Targaryen) are true, in which case it fits just fine.

Actually, the dragon in season 5 was too small. Remember when she flew away on his back from the arena? It's already been established he's big enough to ride, they jut made him too small in that one episode later.

I mean, seriously,
The Hound was close enough to hear screaming, but too far away to get back until everyone was long dead? Mmmmmmm

I'm too lazy to go look myself, in the show, when Jamie freed Tyrion, did Tyrion tell him how Cersei was using sex to get her way all over King's Landing?

I feel like the answer must be no since Jamie still hasn't turned his back on her.

We've only got 3 episodes left, though, and this season's been such a slow burn that I am concerned a lot of stuff will just be left dangling for future seasons.

Oh, who am I kidding, no matter what, Dany's never getting out of Essos. Even with Tyrion there to get her to stop mucking about. It is known.

Hey come on now, a tiny island nation devoid of trees can easily build 1000 boats capable of carrying 500000 troops. Like 3 episodes tops.

I know you mean the sorry shithole that is the Iron Islands, but I feel compelled to point out Essos is a continent twice the size of Westeros or more, and does indeed have trees :p

But yeah, the reasons she won't leave Essos won't have "lumber shortage" among them, I'm guessing.[DOUBLEPOST=1465236629,1465236600][/DOUBLEPOST]
