Looks to be intentional. The guy sped up, rammed people for 2-3 miles, then ran off after exchanging gunshots with police.

Death toll over 70 now. Interesting that the police were armed recently, and that's probably the reason the death toll wasn't much higher.

We should start a betting pool on the deceased suspect. Smart money says he is:

- A second-generation Maghrebi immigrant (Morocco, Algeria, or Tunisia)
- In his late twenties or early thirties
- Was radicalized in his teens
- Urban poor
- Definitely not university-educated
- Has a history of petty crime
- Was once investigated for pro-ISIS rhetoric, but nothing came of the investigation

No fair cheating - news reports (albeit unconfirmed as yet) are already reporting that an ID was found in the truck, belonging to a 30 year old Franco-Tunisian male.

God I hope not. As horrible as it would/will be for ISIS to claim responsibility for this attack, I'd have to say that someone not of ISIS leanings perpetrating a terrorist attack and killing this many people, just to make it look like it was someone of ISIS leanings would be much worse to me.
