a Trump vs Clinton United States Presidential Election in 2016

Who do you vote into the office of USA President?

Big immigration speech tonight? Mass deportations. Slam the door on anyone who can't "assimilate." More comparisons to 1930s Germany by people who are smarter than you. More lecturing the brown people in front of an all-white audience.

At the mention of Hillary's name at the Trump speech came a shout of, "string her up!" Commentary from journalists live tweeting say it's more Klan rally than policy speech.

The devil's advocating of this guy and his followers is getting sickening.

Latinos for Trump founder: Vote Trump or taco trucks on every corner because Mexican culture is fucking awesome.

That may actually be the worst threat of all time. I would love to walk a block, get a taco, walk another block and get another taco.

That sounds utopic.

Because American culture is dominating? Look at the east and tell me Americanism isn't a thing.

Because, taco truck are fucking amazing. Until a year or so ago I was loathe to eat from a truck restaurant. Until my university's student union closed for renovations and they brought in a different truck every day for lunch. Holy hell was that food good! Not always cheap, but always good.

I mean, isn't wanting locally owned small businesses to flourish a good thing? More taco trucks would be good for the economy and the consumer. "Let's see, Raoul's taco truck has the best soft shell tacos, but there's always a line. Manito's taco truck has started offering pulled pork tacos with a pineapple habanero salsa, and Luis' taco truck uses queso oaxaca instead of monterey jack in their quesadillas. Hmm. Choices, choices."

I love being able to leave the office for lunch, walk a block, and find a row of 5-6 food trucks that are different every day.

I suspect it depends on the area due to local regulations and restaurant culture, but I really love the food truck scene in NYC. You've got every different sub-group of food whether it is a particular ethnicity, or region, or type, and the people running the trucks are everything from food truck veterans who have been running cheesesteak/burger/falafel trucks for 20 years to experimental hipster entrepreneurs trying out weird foodie combos to restaurants trying to grab some attention in other neighborhoods to dudes from blue collar ethnic neighborhoods who've realized that the food their grandparents made is desirable even for people who didn't grow up with it.

This made me realize I've never actually eaten from a Taco Truck.
I've never eaten from a taco truck that was not stuck in a permanent location.

Back when I used to eat from food trucks, they just had service station food. (like sandwiches in little plastic boxes. I just loved them for the Gatorade.

Back when I ran a service station, I had a standing order with one of the food trucks that would come to fuel up. While guy would fill up the tank, the gal in the back would whip up an omelette and sausage for me. So convenient.

Have you been to For the Love of Food? They're in the parking lot of the O'Reilly's on Galvin just south of 370. It's all burritos, but they are amazing burritos. They're always trying new recipes and they also do breakfast burritos. Daily menu and schedule is posted on their Facebook page. I can get two lunches out of one of their burritos.

So does Clinton assume she has the election in the bag? Because she's failing to do something Trump has succeeded at, and that's have a short, memorable little slogan that's easy for voters to parrot when they don't understand the issues.

I voted for Obama in 2008, and I had reasons beyond popularity, but I'm sure "Yes, we can" was instrumental to his victory.

In the same vein, "Make America great again" is short, direct, easy to remember, and can be repeated by people like my mom when you ask why she's voting for Trump and doesn't know. Likewise "he tells it like it is" as a descriptor. Obviously other short terms to describe Trump are "white supremacist moron" but that doesn't roll off the tongue as well.

Then again, what do we know? Maybe Hillary does have the election in the bag, the same way she had the primaries. Maybe she doesn't need a catchphrase besides "how Hillary is like your abuela" because she already knows she's going to win. I'm sure that's what Trump will say if he loses.

I'm tired; do we really still have another two months of this shit?

Its "I'm with her."
