Dear media,

Look everyone knows you're trying really, really hard to find evidence that Hillary Clinton used the Clinton Foundation for pay-to-play access. You're not finding anything, and in fact, seem to be proving it didn't happen. You're kind of turning into those Benghazi Republicans that wasted millions of dollars and many, many hours wasting time looking for something that clearly did not exist.

Meanwhile, the story is breaking Donald Trump paid off the attorney generals of Florida and a Texas to drop investigations into the Trump University scam. It's blatant, easy to piece together, and it's actual, for real corruption. This is something you should be raising hell over. Expose it. But you don't. It barely gets mentioned.

You're trying to take Clinton over the coals for crimes that are becoming increasingly clear never happened. Meanwhile, Trump has actually committed crimes, and he's getting a pass.

Media, do your damn job already.

Even so, we can't take polls as the be all facts of who will win anyways. They don't always lead to the obvious winner. Ronald Reagan was way behind on polls versus Jimmy Carter, but he won in the end. I usually don't take polls seriously until they start posting in the final week, so I won't be terrified that Trump might actually win until then.

Hell there is a poll out that shows Clinton leading in Texas. If Trump can't take Texas, he has no chance in hell.
I swear to god, coming in the day after the election if Trump lost Texas would be the forth best day of my life. My boss here in Austin is DIE-HARD Trump. We actually work in a building with a giant TRUMP banner on the roof so people can see it from the highway / airplanes, even though none of us (other then him) support Trump (half our employees are Hispanic, at least one of them we know is illegal).

As he is the boss we just sort of shrug and deal with it.

However, and this may just be the darker side of me, but coming in to see his face after finding out our red state decided to go Hilary over Trump would be something to behold. I know it will never happen (seriously, Texas going blue? More likely to get struck by lightening while holding three winning lottery tickets), but just thinking about it makes me smile.

YOU SHOULD SUE HIM FOR HATE SPEECH!

One poll. Others still have him significantly behind.
Yes, and the polls can't be used as an indicator of who will win anyway.

What they do show, though, and I expect most of the polls show the same thing, is the change over time. So the absolute numbers aren't as important as the fact that he's climbing and she's declining.

In other words, whatever he's doing is working.

YOU SHOULD SUE HIM FOR HATE SPEECH!
I know this is a joke, but listen, this is a guy that purchased a residential house on the edge of a main road that he wanted to turn into commercial property. When the city wouldn't give him approval for commercial zoning due to the arguments of the neighborhood residents, he instead built a "two-story car garage" on the property four times as big as the house, put up a fence so no one other then his employees could enter, and ran a business out of the garage, which was actually a full office building and warehouse.

He littered the yard with kids toys like little carts and bikes and stuff to make the house look "lived in" all the while it was mostly just storage for the main offices in the garage. He even installed full showers and baths into the "garage" due to a requirement that all buildings of a certain size on a residential lot have to have such necessities. The neighborhood took him to court and city council hundreds of time because the new "garage" was a wall that blocked some houses views and brought down property values. It took him nearly a decade, but he finally won and got it turned over to a commercial zone (probably because the neighborhood was sick of fighting it), and he quickly tore down the house and started renting out the "garage" to other businesses. I wouldn't have the willpower to take him to court knowing what he does.

The only reason I know this is because he recorded all his meetings and town halls involving this, and made me watch some of them to "catch" any little mention of libel towards him that he could use in court versus the neighborhood. It was not a good day, but hey, I need a paycheck, so I did what I was asked, even if I disagreed with all the bullshit.

In the end though, this is why he loves Trump, because he sees in Trump the same values he holds when it comes to doing business. Do what you want, fuck everyone else.

Polls said Brexit was going to fail. DO NOT LISTEN TO POLLS OR LET IT AFFECT YOUR VOTING!

We have to vote or we'll end up with that orange-haired troll.

I plan to vote, but am going to tell my mother and step-father that I abstained. She has always been die-hard republican, even though I am more liberal minded. She said (probably jokingly) that she would disown me if I voted for Hilary, and I decided I would rather not risk it not being a joke. :p

The long and short of that poll is basically that the number of people who decide to vote third party will be deciding the elections. If a bunch of Republicans jump ship for the Libertarians, then Clinton wins in a landslide. If a bunch of Bernie supporters go Green, Trump could take swing states and pull a victory.

Fun fact: Odds makers in charge of election betting only give Trump about a 30% chance of winning, based on their information.

People shouldn't be allowed to express opinions on the usefulness or lack thereof of polls until they've taken a statistics course, and, preferably, read Superforecasting.

Just my elitist opinion.

I have a feeling that the pro-Clinton super pacs are waiting until October to bring up Jefferey Epstein and his connections to Trump. Who's that, you ask? He's a pedophile billionaire convicted for soliciting sex from an underage girl. Many Trump supporters thought he'd use that against the Clinton's. Bill had been seen at one of Epstein's celebrity-filled parties before.

So why hasn't that happened?

It could be because Trump went to those parties, told people Epstein was a friend, and...is being sued for raping a 13 year old at one of Epstein's "private" parties.

The Libertarian ad running for Gary Johnson on Youtube is the best political ad I've seen all year.
I'm seeing different ones pop up when I google, could you point to the right one?[DOUBLEPOST=1473214958,1473214886][/DOUBLEPOST]

I want to, but it appeared before a Youtube video and I can't seem to find it as a clickable ad.

The parts that made my wife and I laugh were "Give us a chance. In four years, if you get sick of peace, prosperity, and happiness, you can always vote in a Trump or Hillary then." Then the end, the VP adding "Come on!" just as the ad cut to the video. It feels like they know they have a snowball's chance in hell, so might as well do whatever they want and be memorable.

I suppose that would put him right up there with Roman Polanski, who receives very little support from Progressives and Democrats.

*cough*
