The character limit has absolutely nothing to do with what went on in those tweets, and you darn well know it, missy.Because when I'm looking for a well-thought and grammatically correct statement, I always look to Twitter first, in any country! 140 characters, what could go wrong?
USCIS sent me an update on my green card case. They say that since they've been sitting on their asses for 10 months since the interview (1.5 years since filing), my medical evaluation is now too old, and I need to send a new one.
Meaning I get to drive 2 hours to see a specially licensed doctor, so he can ask me if I have any of a bunch of diseases, get tested for TB (meaning I have to go back the next day), etc. Then I'll pay him roughly $300 in exchange for a sealed envelope with the new I-693, valid for one more year, so immigration CAN SIT ON THEIR FUCKING ASSES FOR ANOTHER YEAR.
What's best, I have no legal recourse. They started this is mid-2014, and it sucks for everyone involved, except for the paper-pushers that get to send a useless Request For Evidence.
I might be slightly upset. This means I have zero chance of seeing my family for Christmas, unless someone dies and I get an emergency parole, or I decide to wait out this process outside the U.S.
I'm starting to think my niece will be in college before I get to meet her.

I'm really going to be sorry to get up in three hours, and I'll probably present myself terribly for an important meeting tomorrow morning. I get too much caught up in these things.
On the one hand if I lose the contract I'll be out tens of thousands of dollars. On the other hand I'm having a hard time carving out enough time to actually do the work, and it would be somewhat of a relief to be off the hook, despite the fact that we need the money.

I've been trying to not cry in front of Li'l Z this morning. He doesn't know what's going on, and couldn't understand it at this age. I could only explain that it was a bad morning and he didn't do anything wrong and we loved him.
When I just went to drop him off at school, for the first time ever, including his first day last year, he wouldn't let me leave. He clung to me and kept saying he was sad and scared. It took both teachers and I 10 minutes to coax him into letting me leave.

I like Facebook ok but I'm not on a ton. Unless I've done a whole series of photos then I spend a lot of my time in my photo groups getting feedback.
