Any really techy people want to work in New Zealand?

A bit above my pay grade, unfortunately.
Otherwise I'm sure Kati would love to relocate to New Greeceland.

That's the reason I posted it. I know some of you are techy enough and even might be looking for a change of scenery.

I expect they are not looking for people who don't already have the relevant experience, no matter how trainable they are.
Soooo that leaves me out.

I'm gonna try my luck. NZ was one of the places my wife and I have fantasy shopped for "if we could move, this would be a good place"

I would tell my husband to consider it if I didn't think it would be too much change for my son to deal with.

Your son doesn't want to live in middle earth?

Also... I wonder if the school system there would be less ploddingly intransigent about his educational needs.

He can barely handle school breaks without going off the rails at the change in routine. Moving across the planet would be pretty rough.

Not gonna post the clip?
I thought about it, but really you don't need anything that complicated. Just aim those jets under the lip in whichever direction you want the swirl to go, problem solved. The Coriolis Effect isn't strong enough to overcome initial momentum.

I'd love to move to New Zealand. I suspect it pays less than I earn in the petroleum field though.

So, it looks the top pay rate there for a top notch developer is under half what I'm currently making. And the cost of living is only 8-20% lower, depending on where you live.

Never mind, Hobbitland.
