It's not a casting choice I would've thought of myself, but I believe Pattinson definitely has the acting chops to pull it off.So, it's been announced that Robert Pattinson will play Batman in Matt Reeves' upcoming The Batman film. The role originally intended for Ben Affleck (who was also originally meant to write and direct).
Honestly? I think it's a good casting. If you've seen Pattinson in literally ANYTHING ELSE but Twilight, you'll see a really great actor. He's admitted he hated doing those films and basically slept walked through them for the money. But as Batman/Bruce Wayne? I think he could do a really solid job.
But Matt Reeves!DCWB movies are so hit and miss I don't really even care that there is going to be another Batman movie.... kinda done with being burned.
I like this idea, but I think I'd prefer someone else as Terry. No reflection of RPatz's acting skills, but probably someone a bit younger and a slightly different physical type. To me, Terry looks more like a Ryan Potter or Charles Melton, off the top of my head.
This was so funny:I wrote a thingy on Twitter.
Though oddly enough, I'm not seeing as much outrage as I expected for Pattinson's casting. More people than I thought have said, "Yeah Twilight sucks, but he's a good actor."
I'm really surprised he didn't respond when I quote-tweeted him and called him a dense motherfucker. This was so funny:
It's 90% The Sun only with a few extra Scottish articles or slightly longer articles on Scottish stories. And they try to pretend they don't support the Tories. Is the Scottish Sun just as unreliable and trashy reporting as The Sun?
For reference for others: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_ArdaThe map Amazon teased included Numenor, which would indicate the show is second age. It takes place literally centuries before LOTR, in parts of Middle Earth unrelated to LOTR.
This is like if someone made a show based on Genghis Khan and ancient Mongolia and then someone else wrote an article about how the show wasn't allowed to tell the story of like, Mao.
*Edit* I'm not super well versed in middle Earth lore so I'm mistaken. Its not literally centuries. It's literally Millenia.
The only funny part is that they let it stay that way...The funniest part here is that it's on Wikipedia. Not some LotR fan-wiki, but real wikipedia. I think that's awesome.
Ding ding ding! You win the prize. With all the hullabaloo about Spidey, this news slipped a bit under the radar, but Matrix 4 is a go.
