I think for me there'd be at least some overlap between the "things I am good at" and "things I like" circles.

I mean, I like porn, and I'm good at watching porn. I can watch porn for hours on end, with no breaks and no fatigue. I could watch porn all day, every day, and never tire of it.

But the only way I could turn that into a useful skill is if I somehow got a job as one of those porn inspectors who has to go through entire porn vids to check if there's anything illegal in them. Actually does anyone know how one would apply for a job like that?

I know someone who actually did that for a short while. He's now involved cleaning up murder scenes and says this job is less horrifying, so... careful what you wish for.

That really is impressive. I can watch for like five minutes, and then I'm suddenly bored and a little uncomfortable.

I had something like this happen when I was working on my last degree, They told me I was short one basic physics lab credit in my final semester as I was elbows deep in writing my thesis on the effects of storm water runoff on urban and suburban environments in relation to mitigating building techniques. I had done two years of field research, multiple high level courses in soil physics, fate and transport of chemical systems, hydrology, hydrogeology. It took going to the head of my department in a meeting with him and a phone call with top brass to get it written off otherwise i would be required to take a intro to physics lab, but just the lab.
