I literally saw it right after the Trump tattoo, and just thought "Yep".

What really annoys me about the Covid strategy in the US (as far as there is one), is that I can already see how some things are going to go.
Here, a lot of people were hoping to "save Christmas". We've all been told, literally, that it's "far too late" for that, that we "should've listened to the experts sooner" and that Christmas will not be with large families this year. Maybe small groups, but with our current numbers, even that's unlikely.
So Democrats/Biden are going to have to come out and say "Guys, take care at Christmas, don't all gather together, be careful for your grandparents". In other words, expect political cartoons with Biden as the Grinch from all conservative outlets.

He won't be in charge, so we'll probably rely on current leadership. So yeah, a lot of people are getting covid for Christmas this year.
With the added caveat that the current leadership will be either tacitly, or possibly even actively, encouraging people to get together for Christmas because they are definitely spiteful enough to want to spike the cases just before Biden takes over so they can try & claim he's made it worse.
I'm surprised you guys think this will wait until Christmas. Thanksgiving is looming close, and their are a whole lotta people who think, "we haven't been with family in months! What's more American???". It's one of those times I'm grateful my immediate family is mostly sane (when it comes to Covid, anyway) and all of the grandparents agreed it would be a bad idea to get together. Of course, finding a small turkey for just me, Mr. Z and Li'l Z is a bitch.
Related, Mr. Z sent me a tweet yesterday that our Gov was going to announce school would be remote-only starting Thanksgiving through the end of January. But that tweet disappeared and I haven't heard anything. I'm hoping he'll do it, though. Thank all that's holy we don't have Christie in charge during all this.

Well, honestly, I just forgot Colonialism Sucks Day hadn't already been passed this year. Both Halloween and Thanksgiving are pretty US-centric holidays so when one's past I have to think to remember which one is yet to come :-P

Welp, it only took a month and a half of 2 days of school a week before my daughter got the quarantine slap. We were probably going to keep her home next week anyways, because we have the option to just go to fully online and keep her in her actual high school classes, but now I don't have to argue with her about it. (though the order is probably going to become mandatory from Thanksgiving Break until after Holiday Break at minimum anyways, because Colorado cases are fucking exploding.)
I realize that this is probably a really stupid question, but how would one be in jail without charges of some sort?
Awaiting trial and can't make bail.

Every time I see a headline like this, I am reminded that conservatives are out there spinning this as Dolt45 protecting liberty, and keeping people safe from Biden and his evil scientists who want to lock people in their homes and inject them with microchips.
