In the Belgian gymnast association there was also a whole bunch of talk about abuse, bullying, etc. Mind you , not sexual abuse - physical and emotional abuse, body shaming, negging, and all that sort of thing to "push" them to better scores.
Anyway, today the report was made public. The two head coaches are both found wanting and guilty, both are shown and proven to have hit girls, to have denied boys food, all that sort of thing to "strengthen" them, you know, that style of coaching.
Anyway, both have been asked to apologize, and they have, to the victims. but they're both still perfectly allowed to remain as head coach for the national team, and there is no clear legal way to persue them. Awesome!
Really, people in power are all jackasses. Power corrupts and all that, but still, could we have, like, one priest/coach/minister/secretary/mayor/CEO/whatever who isn't rotten?
