Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

Florida loves goths! I mean, no one should ever come to this hellhole, and I don't have a spare room so you'd have to share a couch with my dog, but he's a good boy so there's that
I'd be more than happy to share a couch with the dog, haha! Best boy.
I'll add Florida to my list. :p

And I'll be sure to bring my gothiest attire.

Seems like every time I go to the doc, I end up with another med--mostly because of the diabeetus. This time, 3 new meds, one of them an injectable.
Getting old sucks. And not in the good way.

Just looks like the loop broke, should be able to get a cheap repair kit to replace that pad. Easier since you still have the original screw for it.

Today's another hot female coworker's last day.

More pertinently, though, in addition to being hot, she's also extremely competent. She is capable of doing the work of two people, she can handle sudden emergencies like a champ, and she can even catch errors that I make. Her departure will be keenly felt.

Our poor kitten baby was shamed by the vet today. I tried to explain that his father is 25 pounds so in fact, he too will be a big boy, but she wasn’t having it.

I'm currently stuck in a loop at work. Facebook, twitter, CNN, couple of Belgian newspapers and media sites, 9Gag, check my work mail, Halforums, chat with colleagues a bit, personal mailbox, and start all over. Occasionally interrupted to go to the bathroom, go set a fresh pot of tea, read a bit.
Time wasted: all of it
Time spent doing actual work: none
Time spent doing something worthwhile where at least I feel good about it afterwards: none

I definitely don't need to or want to be actively working 100% of the time, but my actual job should probably be at least, like, 20% of my paid time spent. I'm annoyed myself, and I can't seem to get out of it.

I feel you, my job involves working at customer sites, (installing and repairing security systems), and in the 3.5 hours of my work day so far, I've driven for 2.5 of them. Add the 30 min to clean my van and collect parts for the day and I've only spent 30 min or so with customers doing work. It's a beautiful day, but just staying in one place and working is nice sometimes.

Testing is going on at my school this week. So the first half of my days have been sitting in my office and waiting for something to go wrong. Most of the issues got taken care of on the first day, so nothing is coming in now. The second half of my days have been sitting in my office while teachers take their classes to lunch, recess, related arts, anything to get them out of the testing funk. So I've not had much to do.

I am running low on activities. Semantle has become an interest. It is Wordle, but you have to guess the word based on how close the definition of your guessed word is to the daily word. It's hard. My best one so far has been 54 guesses.

This is absurd. I want one for Dutch >_<

That said, 43 today, but I think it was a fairly easy word? I dunno. I got to 892/1000 in 19 guesses, then spent a LOT of time getting colder and colder.

After about 20 guesses - none close - I grabbed two hints and then gave up. Not a game for me, I think.

I got thrown way off by words like "gun" having a 20 point similarity, which led me off in a wrong direction for a long time.

Yesterday my brother's dog, who is staying with us for a week, threw up in our living room.
I thought I had cleaned it all up.
Walking around barefoot I discovered that I had, in fact, missed one puddle.
Same thing happened to me before.
Only it was not from a dog, but my drunk roommate.

Got a text message on my phone from "Purolator" about a package arriving. Because I was expecting a parcel, I stupidly clicked on the link. It took me to a link to download an app, which I also stupidly clicked. But nothing happened that I can tell.

Realizing how stupid I am, I downloaded a anti-Malware program. Scans didn't show anything. And it doesn't look like anything was installed.

REALLY hoped nothing happened from this.

You know the number one recommendation: change passwords. ALLLLL OF THEM
And make especially sure any stuff linked to CC/bank card is behind other safety measures.
Mind you, it might technically be real, but even so :-P

Sorry. I feel you - I'm tech-savvy, the 'cautious' one in the family, and the other day I clicked a link in a text "All Albertans who are vaccinated are being given $100." WHY. WHY DID MY BRAIN LET ME DO THAT

God damn it. No Costcos have these huge bins of dried wild mushrooms anymore. All they carry are tiny bins of porcinis that are 1/3rd the size and the same price. I'm fucking dying here without some good wild mushroom rice or soup.

This shit has been a staple in my diet for years and I DON'T WANT TO CHANGE.

Granted I know next to nothing about cultivating mushrooms, but would it be feasible to grow your own of the kinds you want? I always see those kits for them and have been curious to try adding some next to my hydroponics bay.

Well, it's done. Grandpa was laid to rest today. Lovely ceremony. The Royal 22e Régiment's Band CO and his Sergeant-Major were in attendance, and they had a trumpeter who played The Last Post. It was beautiful. Afterwards, lots of catching up with family we hadn't seen in years. It was a good day.

I debated where to put this, honestly. Like, it's sad, but it's also good that it's done, y'know?
