I think it's both. There are definitely a lot of "conservative" and "Christian" people out there who'd vote for a rock over any Demoncrat who want to kill babies and pamper to the non-Christians, but there's also a sizeable group of Trump cultists who will support him over literally anyone or anything.
And of course you've got the gullible idiots who believe he'll actually somehow do something good for the average working poor.

And there's also plenty of moneyed interests (and those who hope to become such) who know they stand to make more personal profits when an unrepentant corporatist is in power and breaking rules - and that's all that matters to them. "Other" people are not people, so who cares about that. I grind my teeth talking politics with my girlfriend because she wants to own her own business and literally the only thing she cares about in this election is who will make her taxes lower in that endeavor. Fortunately Harris just announced a new small business tax break as part of her platform.

I don’t really want to ask him, but I have a feeling my dad would rather vote for Trump than any Democrat. And he has stated that Trump is an idiot, but the anger he feels for democrats is unreal.

My dad is a Republican who ideologically should like Trump but had a personal revulsion to him ever since he first ran. He left president blank in 2016 and 2020 and I suspect will do the same this year. Not like we’re in a swing state anyways.

My dad is similar. He was a hardcore Republican until 2016. He hated Clinton, but he hated Trump even more and left that spot on his ballot blank. He actually voted for Biden in 2020 and he’s excitedly talking about Harris now. Trump destroyed my dad’s loyalty to the Republican Party.

Watching Maddow basically say "I can't believe this is really happening, but...!"- girl, same. So, do we think it's because Daniels actually know something more destructive, or do we think it's really that his ego just can't let this go? At this point, it's a toss-up.

If that was true they should have shown it in the primary, and picked someone else.

To quote The Boys: Stormfront : People love what I have to say. They believe in it. They just don't like the word nazi. That's all.

I'm sure there are a few that will vote for anyone as long as they have an R next to their name, but the majority either picked him or didn't care enough to show up to pick someone else...

Paraphrase of a conversation I overheard at lunch today and then texted to my wife:

Guy voting for Harris: he's in cognitive decline. He said that Washington's men took the airfields during the revolution

Trump guy: so?

Harris: there weren't planes back then

Trump: has that been fact checked?

Harris: don't need to fact check it it's just true

Trump: well I would need to know the context he was saying that in.

Harris: what context would be good?

Trump: well he was making an analogy, you know what he meant to say

I was thinking (yes terrible idea) on the way to work today, that if cumsock wins, they will essentially end the 2nd ammendment. But was wondering how, they would have to boil the frog, but what would be the steps?

1. Illegal immigrants caught with gun equals enormous penalty.
2. Legal imigrant but not yet a citizen caught with gun equals automatic rejection of status.
3. ?

It's clear and obvious from a holistic, literalist, generalist reading of the constitution that 2A was only ever intended to apply to white men, considering anyone else want considered a citizen. So let's approve a skin color/DNA test for gun ownership. This isn't infringement because the good guys are doing it, and what, are you in favor of black and Hispanic criminals having guns? They're not organized, and their gangs aren't militia!
