You do like Nixon. You can't make it illegal to be politically opposed, but you can make the common activities of your opposition illegal (say, cannabis use) and make one of the "minimum sentence" components be disqualification to firearm ownership, which really is already a thing for felons and parolees (like Trump)

Why stop there, though? If Immigrants with guns are such a problem, why allow anything as arbitrary as "borders" to limit your scope? I mean, aren't borders the entire reason we have immigrants in the first place? All we need is a leader who possesses the vision and is able to put us onto that path. And once started, we can cruise, aiding the ones we deem most deserving of our attention.

The sad thing is, some of them absolutely realize this, but they want the Rapture to happen soon, and that requires the Anti-Christ comes into power, so they are voting for him specifically for that reason. I have seen some of these people talk about this stuff, both in regard to Trump and the situation in Gaza. This is why superstition is fucking stupid.
Like most religious things, if surrendering yourself to the Afterlife is something YOU want to do, then go right ahead and do it, but that doesn't mean you get to force that on the rest of us.
