I did not watch this week. But the games I did watch, he did not seem to be the problem.
They can't stop the run. If they get behind, they can't get a sack. They score enough points to win most games, but they are a paper bag stopping the run.
But this is the way Jerry thinks, from his weekly radio show on KRLD out of Dallas the week after signing Dak to his current contract:
“I think when I look at what Dak is — he’s a leader, he plays the position of ultimate leadership in sports, in my opinion, as the quarterback. You can put a huge value on measures of success that don’t reach a Super Bowl,” Jones said.
“I will say this, any time that we’ve ever made players the highest-paid player — key players, such as Troy Aikman, the highest-paid player in the game — we’ve won Super Bowls.”
Jones hasn’t seemed to do much of anything to shore up that super injured defense. By his own words he seems to think that one player can do it all by himself. Never mind that Zeke isn’t Emmitt Smith and nobody to really act as a distraction from Lamb as a receiving threat.
