Games on SALE!

Prime Gaming is timely with it's blog post update for November.

Another month jam backed with games. Upcoming highlights include (see blog post for dates).

GOG codes:
  • Mafia: Definitive Edition
  • Dishonored - Definitive Edition
  • Duck Paradox
  • Overcooked - Gourmet Edition
  • Sir Whoopass - Immortal Death
Epic redemption:
  • Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Super Meat Boy
  • Elite Dangerous
  • Jurassic World Evolution
And 15 other games on various platforms. If anyone wants any of the GOG codes, let me know.
This might be a dumb question, but is there any official reason why they don't do Steam codes anymore? Seems like most are either GoG, Epic, or Prime Gaming itself.

Prime Gaming has never had Steam codes. They started out with their own app only, and it's just this past year or so that GOG codes have become a regular thing.

If I had to guess, I'd say that it's likely that Steam doesn't offer them a good enough deal on keys.

Ah, I stand corrected. I thought they had in the past.

Jingle Jam 2024

" Donate a minimum of £35, select the Jingle Jam 2024 Games Collection and receive Steam keys for 18 games and more. "

Like most Jingle Jams this is about charity. It's not an amazing deal of must-have games, but there are some solid titles if you want to give money to causes while you do. Games I recognize as highly regarded: Another Crab's Treasure, Shadows of Doubt, and Fights in Tight Spaces, but there may be other gems.

A year of Humble Choice is on sale for $99 w/ code HOLIDAY24 (23% off).
Speaking as someone that used to have Humble Choice, I didn't find it was worth it in the long run. I STILL have a long list of game keys that are just collecting dust. I've given away more games than I've kept (and gifted several keys to Halforumers by checking their wishlists, as many can attest to :) ). I've tried trading them with others, but more often than not, their offers weren't of equal value.

Honestly, for me, the Humble Choice was great for indie game I was interested in, but less so for AAA games. They were often games I had zero interest in.

Yeah... there is only like 5 games on that list that have any interest to me and I just don't have keys to trade, unfortunately. Humble Choice was really good for like a year and then it just became worthless.

For me personally, the reason I'll never get Humble Choice is because the idea of "you can try all these new games" doesn't attract me.

I don't want to try new games, I want to play my old games ad infinitum.

Prime Gaming Blog updated for December

Notable in the list of Amazon Luna games included with Prime are The Jackbox Naughty Pack and Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader. Quiz games like these should work very well over streaming. Much better than the headline game this month, Death Stranding.

As for games that get permanently added to your library, notable GOG codes include:
  • Dredge
  • Star Wars Bounty Hunter
  • Quake II (Dec 5th)
  • Hero's Hour (Dec 12th)
A lighter month, but I guess they don't want to cut into Christmas sales too much.

I'm with you. I don't 'play' games. I -buy- games and then never get around to playing them!

Ohh... Dredge. I've been wanting that for a bit.
It's intriguing, and I was thinking of keeping it for myself, but it's not like it's something I had on my wishlist. If you'll actually play it you can have my key. I'm not hurting for games I'm excited to play.

Oh no, I've got Prime Gaming so I get all the keys you have. I literally just grab the GOG and Amazon keys and ignore the rest.

Humble Wholesome Snack 2024 Bundle

$5 tier
- Minami Lane
- Rusty's Retirement

$10 tier adds:
- Spirit City: Lofi Sessions

$22 tier adds:
- Little Kitty, Big City
- Fae Farm w/ OST
- The Ranch of Rivershine

I know nothing about any of the other games, but I adored Little Kitty, Big City. It's a short game, but it's very charming.

Prime Gaming is just full of surprises this month, a whole bunch of games just dropped:
  • Baldur's Gate 1&2 (GOG)
  • The Outer Worlds (GOG)
  • Spelunky (GOG)
  • Warhammer 40k
    • Space Marine (Amazon app)
    • Dawn of War (Amazon app)
    • Dawn of War II (Amazon app, Dec 12)
    • Space Hulk Deathwing Enhanced Edition (GOG)
    • Necromunda: Hired Gun (Epic)
  • Neverwinter Nights (GOG)
If anyone wants GOG codes, let me know.

There's also a bunch of discounts on buying games, like $25 (60%-off) God of War Ragnarok on PS5.

I don't know why they keep trying to have Mega Man games on Luna, I tried one previously and it was horribly frustrating.

GOG seems to be having trouble redeeming codes right now

The Steam Winter Sale has started, and as usual Steam is getting so hammered it's nearly impossible to do anything on the site.
Hmm, looking at my wishlist, I don't see any games that I feel like I absolutely have to get right now.

Maybe I should finally buy Subverse and some of those other NSFW games I've had my eye on.

*looks at his wishlist*
*looks at his credit card debt*

Nope. Just can't do it. Much as I'd love, say, the Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Collection, that just ain't happening right now.
