Elon Musk’s DOGE posted classified data on their website for anyone to see.
DOGE.gov was launched Wednesday claiming to give Americans the ability to “trace your tax dollars through the bureaucracy.” The feature allows users the ability to see data from all federal offices and agencies including head counts, budgets, and the average age of staff. But, the website [...] included information about the National Reconnaissance Office, which is tasked with creating and maintaining satellites for U.S. intelligence. Much of the agency’s activities, including its budget and head count, are classified and aren’t supposed to be available to the public. Plus, how did Musk’s team get access to that information, anyway?

$130.6 million in admin costs? And $225.9 millions in derivative liabilities?!? Nothing about this balance sheet shows anything but a massive scam. Now they'll declare bankruptcy and walk away. The admin costs is theirs but the derivatives just screws over their investors. Womp womp indeed.

Declare bankruptcy? They need to keep an "alternative" for X so it doesn't look too much like a monopoly.

They'll just open another exactly like it, call it something new, and do it all over again. The griftees will flock again and the grifters will profit. Because the griftees are so fucking dumb.

Trump signed an executive order saying that only the President and the Attorney General can say what the law is.

I'd post a GIF of "That's not how this works, that's not how any of this works", but it actually remains to be seen if that's how it's going to work. It's not how it's supposed to work, but if the courts can't actually stop Trump from doing whatever he wants, and Congress won't impeach Trump, and no one actually stops Trump from changing the law to be whatever Trump wants, then he does become a dictator.

Partially, at least. He can't make new laws. He is claiming sole ability (responsibility?) to interpret how agencies interpret the laws governing their operations instead of the heads of those agencies. I guess those agencies cannot be sued now and only Trump or the AG can? How many lawsuits do those agencies have against them?

I was under the impression that the president (office of) was immune from civil lawsuits already, what with not being able to sue the government for damages, with the following exception(s):
Under the Federal Tort Claims Act, you can sue the federal government if:
  • You were harmed by a federal employee
  • The employee was acting within their official duties when the harm occurred
  • The employee acted intentionally or negligently in a way that caused the harm
  • You experienced actual damages as a result of the employee’s action
You can pursue a claim based on damage to your person or your property. The two most common examples are:
  • When a government vehicle causes an accident
  • When someone is injured on government property due to unsafe conditions
As noted above, there may also be other circumstances where you can sue the federal government when specific federal regulations establish the right to make a claim against agencies or officials.

As for the president (personal liability), I'm not sure how that would go. Maybe the Supreme Court could...hang on, someone is waving and trying to tell me...ohhhh.

In all seriousness, I assume this executive order is just him fiat voluntas mia granting himself the ability to overrule any judge, though I suppose it could technically also mean that every court case in the entire nation MUST be forwarded to one of the two of them for processing or it doesn't count?

Yup, impeachment is the only recourse now, and that won't happen with this cowardly, feckless Congress. These next two years will need to be REALLY BAD to get them to turn on Dear Leader, and I don't wish that on anyone.

In case you missed it, he has now openly blamed Ukraine for the war they started, and insisted on new elections to remove Zelensky.
Again, his Art of the Deal seems to be "give the opponent everything they want or asked for before negotiations begin, and they can't ask for anything more anymore".

They aren't going to hold an election while the war is on-going and even if they did, there isn't anyone who would have a chance against Zelensky. He's still polling 65% and no one else is close to pulling over 50%.
