Oh yeah, I forgot about the third party maps since I've been out of the game so long--damn computers.
Fuck, I should've done that. Now it's back to $44.[/QUOTE]Or preorder it! Only 36$!
You think that's bad? The Clown's squeaky shoes draw other zombies along with them when they start running. You can also tweak their noses with melee hitsClown zombies.
Fucking clown zombies. Are you shitting me? This game is already scary!
Also, I see that the game will actually be released Monday night rather than Tuesday afternoon, so I might actually use a half-day or something. I still have 3 and a half days of PTO I gotta use, so one for this wouldn't be the worst of ways to spend it.
Three words : Throwable Boomer Bile
Actually, I've been doing several VS matches every day and I've only been griefed once... and we just voted him out. This is compared to TF2, where I run into a griefer EVERY time I play it.Preciously why I don't even bother with "VS" mode.
Hal4um, with our logo being a zombie hand will the fingers gone except the middle one.we should create a l4d2 HF group
No... that was my suggestion for the group name and image.but is that for l4d2?
no point to having a l4d1 group with people not having l4d2
Good news.. apparently some people data mined the game and found some sound files referencing the original four survivors. It's believed they will be part of a content pack coming down the line (There are two planned already) or possibly multiplayer options. The opening movie did run fine and I gotta say, I was one of the whiners as far as new characters go. I like my original tetrad. However, the opening movie really endeared the new cast to me. I like 'em now. I like 'em A LOT.
Kotaku said:Valve: Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Did Not Reveal DLC Names
Speaking at an event today sponsored by Eurogamer, Valve's Chet Faliszek said the names for DLC packs found in the Left 4 Dead 2 demo were spaceholders only, put there as a test required by Microsoft.
According to audio of the event, Faliszek said:
If you're reading in the forums and you're reading about the "Miracle" DLC or whatever, that's test code. To get tested through Microsoft certification we had to do test scenarios with DLC. We haven't actually come out internally with what we're going to do yet.
The pick-apart of the Left 4 Dead 2 demo also revealed references to the original survivors. While Faliszek didn't mention that when he explained the DLC file names, earlier in the talk he did say "They're not dead, so we'll see what happens with that. They're not undead either."
Yea. I was in the camp that "why new people?" group, then I try them out and it is pretty cool. I love it.My post kind of meant that, regardless of the originals, the new ones have endeared themselves and I'm happy to be playing as them. I don't really care if Francis, Louis, Zoey, and Bill come back, because I have them in the original game. I wouldn't object to their presence, but I like the new people very much.
I guess I mean, if they're just referenced, then it's not a big deal.
If we got the options to play as any 4 of 8, that would be cool, but they'd have to script new interactions or something.
There do seem to be 3-4 different types of weapons for each class. Looks like at least 3-4 autos, 3 shotguns, and 2-3 Rifles/Carbines. You also get 3 pistol types (if you count Dualies as a separate weapon). What is the difference between the two sniper rifles? Is there a tier 3 of weapons now?
Are there any differences between the melee weapons besides appearance? I played with guitar, frying pan and nightstick, but I didn't notice anything major.
