[Webcomic] Webcomic Appreciation Jamboree

IIiiiiiiinteresting!

My favourite part of this particular strip is the look of Wanda's dwagon's face as it struggles to get even closer to Jillian's megalogwiff.

Finally, Wanda and Jillian's outfits make sense. Now, who's Riff Raff?

Also, if Jillians "mystery" caster turns out to be a Turnamancer, I'm hoping we get a "Time Warp" sequence.

My guess? Wanda's not gonna turn. She likes to be in control, and being UNDER Jillian would drive her crazy.

Jillian is aware of that. That's why she switched from "my side" to Faq, denoting a common side.

I think Wanda is going to take the offer, just because it sets up a bigger conflict than the last book. They spent all summer talking about how powerful these decrypted are, so they'd make perfect enemies.

We're so awesome. :)

Man I would have accepted those first three panels as their own Bobwhite comic.

Honestly, I hope that Wanda doesn't turn and go against Parson, because then the story would just be a rehash of what happened in Volume 1-- a Genius Warlord goes up against overwhelming odds.

I'm hoping that the challenges in this volume are a bit more... subtle.

I think they have plenty of options to change the focus of the story for when Wanda betrays Stanley. I have faith it won't be a rehash with higher stakes.

Especially considering that since Parson is pretty goddamned genre-savvy, it seems he would pull a Batman and already have failsafes in place for Wanda's betrayal. I'm pretty sure he even knows the circumstances that lead Wanda to Stanley's side in the first place, and how tenuous their continued allegiance is.

I dunno... I get the feeling that he wants to have as little involvement in what's going on as possible now, so he probably wouldn't have any failsafes in place.

Well, judging by the time spent that Parson has no way to move, I suspect a flight from Gobwin Knob is imminent. Parson's inability to leave leads to conflict.

He can move through portals. That's it. His move is 0 and he's too heavy to leave on a dwagon. He's probably going to do some self-sacrificing strategy for everyone else to survive and get away from the capital so they don't fall to Wanda's massive army and Jill's massive hatred of Stanley.

A thread wherein Allen (and Gusto) highlight updates of individual webcomics

I can't believe I'm about to do this.

Siiiiiiighhh....

I have never had a problem with CAD and had never read it until the Halfpixel thread hating on it. I went there to see what the hubbub was all about and then read them all...

Buckley has a habit of taking too long to get to his point, which is frankly perfect for the timing in this comic.

As I mentioned to Soliloquy a few pages back, I could discuss webcomic theory for hours. :) There are very few strips that I dislike irrationally.
