[Webcomic] Webcomic Appreciation Jamboree

I have to admit, I'm downright terrified now of Nice Pete. Also, I have to ask, but is that his freakin' shadow putting a molotov cocktail in the back of the van? I think Nice Pete has reached new levels of terror.

Since I was only asking because I wanted to share my Deck of Many Things story :):

We found the Deck of Many Things in some ruins on some other plane. We played around with it a bit, all of us winning and losing some. One person would have had to fight the wraith, but they had the Get Out of Jail Free Card, so it was fine.

Then we decided to set up a stand outside of a town, and sent the bard to advertise to the townsfolk. They could draw as many cards as they liked for free. If anyone died, no skin off our bones. If anyone got experience and leveled up, we hired them as cohorts. If anyone got fabulous treasures, some bandits who were led by the bard would rob them blind and we'd get the riches.

The most memorable one was the peasant who got the the Answer to Any One Dilemma. He asked if he should grow cabbages or rutabagas this year. He was told to grow cabbages.

Once this wrapped up, we fought a few angels. Something happened to lead to this large explosion of divine power. This divine power turns out to be a potent combination of cabbage viagra and cabbage aphrodisiac, causing the cabbages to grow and seed the country side extremely quickly.

The peasant saw this and said, "YES! MY CABBAGES!"
My experience with it, myself and another PC were trapped by a powerful Lich. A lich that enjoyed gambling. This Lich offered us a way out. We play the GAME with him. We bid how many cards to pull out of the deck and the other player matches or goes above. Then we draw. The one who ends up better off than the other will win and be released.

He pulls the joker that gives 10000 XP and draw 2 more cards about 4 times. Then he pulls a major magic item twice and the one that gives you a castle and land title somewhere. I believe he also managed to pull the 1d4+1 wishes card too.

Then, it was my turn. I pulled the ace of lose all your magic items, followed by the ace of lose all your other items as well as casting imprison on you.

Bye bye level 14 wizard.

Its that happy little smile that makes the whole thing so fucking terrifying for me. is it in his head? is it a nice daydream for him? is his shadow even worse than him? WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH NICE PETE.

 That's a great one.

Also, I didn't know Fanboys still existed.

It does and it doesn't. Last I heard he is planning on ending it. But he also said that he was going to do a few more updates but than again it took about a month or two after the announcement before we got a comic and this is the first comic he has uploaded since October of last year.

I'm actually really disappointed in this year's twisp and catsby offering. It's not nearly as surreal or incomprehensible as any of the others.

Also, they said their names in the comic. I thought part of the joke was that they didn't, so there was no in-canon way of knowing that Twisp was actually the cat.

What sucks about Fanboys is were he to do it regularly, I think he'd have one of the best gaming comics out there. The art has gotten exponentially better from its start, and he has more strips that caused me to actually laugh out loud as opposed to chuckle/smile than any comic I can think of, save for maybe Boxer Hockey's later strips.

I feel like this Achewood storyline has finally gone WAY too far. I am finished with it, let's move on please.

If only I was sure.

As far as I can tell, Zimmy had some kind of effect on Jack after their first meeting that caused him to go batshit fucking insane. I think Antimony almost solved it, but instead started to fall prey to it herself. Jones seems to have caused the rain, which helped Zimmy sort it out by herself.

I think.

No, no, no... Antimony didn't fall prey. Zimmy went a bit nuts and thought she was antimony after the two met up. At that point, the story switched to the perspective of Zimmy-thinking-she's-antimony, thus confusing everyone.

I totally called it, like, 11 comic pages ago.

I'm just going to go out and say it now. That's totally Zimmy, not Annie.

Gamma was never able to talk to Annie telepathically.
