I think those of us active in Image that have been graduating from forum to forum, with less and less members, count as "old guard". Not LURKING since image, ACTIVE since Image.

I remember the halcyon days before the wipes. Discussions were a lot deeper and more meaningful. A single post could go on for 17 paragraphs and that thread could live for weeks. Then the wipes taught people to keep their posts short and disposable, and we've never reattained the previous level of greatness since.

To be fair, I didn't even get 1500 posts on Image. I was rather quieter back then. I exploded once Halforum began. I was a lurker of sorts for the first half of my Image days, posting maybe once or twice a week, unnoticed. Around the time the wipes came I was already posting 3, 4 times per day, though.
I hit 20+ posts per day on Halforum only.

As long as it's considered a "live" thread then leaving open the tab will do it. Up to 30 or so in the cache and then it'll start to delete them from oldest to newest.

It took me quite a while to get interested in posting. I think, though I may be wrong, that I finally started when Tim nuked his WoW guild and Scott made a home for them. I thought it was such an awesome thing to do.
I also left for quite a while at some point but I have the chronology all confused.
