Well, sort of. The other residents in my building have unofficially adopted them as well. Hawaii has a big problem with stray cats and a litter of kittens decided to camp out underneath an equipment shed. After filming the attached video, I was told that their mother probably abandoned them a few days ago. Some of the girls I live with fed and watered them. They even gave the kittens a bath to get rid of any fleas. I made a food run and got them enough cat food (the kind that's suitable for kittens) to last for a week or so. The instructions say to give a three-pound kitten one can twice a day. But I don't think these kittens weigh three pounds combined.
Unfortunately, the lease doesn't allow us to keep pets inside the room. The building staff went out of their way to be helpful by letting us keep the kittens in a cardboard box on the property. At least they can't wander into the street or be attacked by other animals. We've put them on Craigslist and hopefully that will result in them finding good homes. And I know you're probably dying for a peek so here they are.
