I can has kitteh!

Well, sort of. The other residents in my building have unofficially adopted them as well. Hawaii has a big problem with stray cats and a litter of kittens decided to camp out underneath an equipment shed. After filming the attached video, I was told that their mother probably abandoned them a few days ago. Some of the girls I live with fed and watered them. They even gave the kittens a bath to get rid of any fleas. I made a food run and got them enough cat food (the kind that's suitable for kittens) to last for a week or so. The instructions say to give a three-pound kitten one can twice a day. But I don't think these kittens weigh three pounds combined.

Unfortunately, the lease doesn't allow us to keep pets inside the room. The building staff went out of their way to be helpful by letting us keep the kittens in a cardboard box on the property. At least they can't wander into the street or be attacked by other animals. We've put them on Craigslist and hopefully that will result in them finding good homes. And I know you're probably dying for a peek so here they are.

I should really upload some pics of my "kitten" Kodo. He's not going to be a kitten much longer... he's more of a teen.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll find good homes!

I love cats (and dogs)... to bad my fiancee hates them as she's got a fear of animals. I have to resort to fish and turtles. :/

I already have a cat but I really want another but due to reasons beyond my control I can't get another one yet.

This thread is relevant to baby Lucky's interests:

This picture kind of screams for a cracked out cat macro.

To be fair Ame has like fifteen hundred cats at any given time... but ZenLady made HER cats famous... humm.. tough.

I'm quite busy enough with my own:

That little clawed terror is Abbey. Yes, I named her... why? (hey, she has black and white stripes, it was an obvious name of awesomeness)

That's my backpack she's captured as her bed in that pic, btw.

nah, he just has no teeth, so his tongue hangs out constantly.

he also has seizures which make it stick out more and more.

I like to think of him as my little proof that evolution and intelligent design are wrong.

I prefer loki and coyote had a wager with one another over ridiculousness. Shadow there is their Avatar.

I'm hijacking this as a post your pets thread to post one of my dogs, Bernard Montgomery.

Ame: if you have one I wouldn't be allergic to, just mail it to Brussels :-P

I like both cats and dogs, could never keep a dog with my working hours and in my small appartment, though...And I'm allergic to most cats :-(

D'aawww.

I'm petless atm, although I do plan to get a kitteh or two once I finish my studies.
One of the reasons I'm so excited about moving out next year is that I can finally get a pet or two. I plan on getting a bunny (for sure), and possibly a cat (gotta give love to those looking for love that have moved beyond kittenhood).

My friend Sean's two dogs (Chip, a mildly retarded Brittany Spaniel; and Penny, an adorable chihuahua/terrier mix that is terrified of virtually everything larger than a small cockroach) are my surrogate dogs, though, so I don't feel too petless. Whenever he and his family go visit family in Idaho, I always watch the house and feed the dogs, and they've said they're half mine anyways.

My little miss princess kitty, Lulu

I love her, but she's so picky about her living conditions that I couldn't bring her to my apartment, so she's been with my parents the last 3 years.

She's 9 years old, so I figure I'll get a house of my own and take her back before she gets too old.

You know what pet I've always wanted to have, though? An english Bulldog. They look more little monsters than dogs, and I really love their looks and, as far as I've been able to find out on the internet, their general personality is also kick ass!

Oh, and, of course, there's also my childhood dream of owning a cool cool penguin.

Allen is MINE and MINE ALONE!

Well, and Ceej, but she doesn't count.

That reminds me, RAW is over, isn't it? I ought to switch back to my owls.

*edit* and voilà :)

Cute kittens :D. I'm allergic, so no cats here. Also, I'd have to have an outdoors one even if I wasn't allergic. I just can't stand how they climb on everything.

More of a dog person... although our old pitbull managed to climb onto the kitchen table at times. We had to start putting the chairs up at night like at a restaurant.
