It is matter of perspective mate.
A friend of mine was single for a while. She always complain being the "Christmas cake" girl and never find anyone. She is usually depress of being single, now she is dating another friend of mine and much happier.
I think some part of society and culture put thoughts into people's head that at "certain age" you should be "married" My parents think like this. When I was single for a long while (married at 29) they were trying to "fix me up" after I turn 21. being the oldest son of the oldest son didn't help either.
Some people are lucky and able to break away from the culture bond and just enjoy life like it is meant to be.
If you want to meet women just lower your standards. I mean really lower them. Go to the local welfare office. The more kids wrapped around their leg the better your shot. And search the paper for recently divorced women (extra points for kids as well). I can't tell you the number of women I work with that crave a man. One is really hot and her man booted her to the curb for an upgrade. Now her income's cut in half and she's got two kids needing support and if it's willing to pay half the bills you're in.
And for the record, I never minded being single. It was the lack of sex that sucked. When you're getting lots of moist you could give two flips about a relationship. But once ole stinky gets dried up for lack of hydration and you are shooting man gravy all over your keyboard then the realization that being single does suck.
