Okay, it's just completely ridiculous that some games cost -more- euros than dollars. GTA IV is $5? It's €7.50. That's almost a 100% mark-up!
Question: if an american GIFTS it to me, is it at the $5 price? If so, anyone care to get it for me (steam account: Bubble181)? I'll pay it back through PayPal, and it'll STILL be cheaper for me. Why wouldn't they just use a standard conversion? Heck, I'd settle for a 1-to-1 conversion, even if it's still a 25% price hike.

GamersGate is having a 75%-off sale on all games by 1C Company. Not a lot of big name titles (and judging by metacritic scores quite a few stinkers), but maybe some interesting stuff. If anyone finds anything really good, post it. I noticed several turn-based strategy/tactical games that have won varying degrees of praise:

Alien Swarm is free on Steam, and it's pretty good. I played through two missions in order to get a hat in Team Fortress 2, and I had fun doing it. Not sure if I'll go back to it, with all that I've already got waiting to play, but it is appealing. More than worth the price.

The D2D version of Fallout 3 isn't compatible with the Fallout Script Extender though, a program that's required for many mods.

I wouldn't recommend getting the D2D version if you plan on playing mods. And if you play the PC version of Fallout 3, you'll probably want to mod it.
