Darkstar One is interesting for a little while, but gets boringly repetitive pretty quickly. Plus I found the voice acting to be incredibly sub par and before long I stopped caring about the story.

Steam's weekend deal is Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY $13.60

This is an amazing game, and I highly recommend it if you've got the system to handle it. (Note: it does use SecuROM copy protection, which causes trouble for some people, and it also uses Games for Windows Live which is just plain stupid.)

Metro 2033 had two problems going for it: Stuff cost to much (Your going to buy maybe 2-3 things the entire game, not counting filters) and some of the weapons (namely the pneumatic ones) were completely useless. However, Metro 2033 is basically just continuing proof that the emerging Eastern European/Russian studios have the chops to put out AAA titles. Thankfully, Japan has taken notice and is trying these new studios out. I know they have a Czech studio making the new Silent Hill game and it looks great.

If I thought for a second my old machine could run Bioshock, I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. As it is it barely ran Portal, what with its zero enemies onscreen at one time.

ALL of the Dawn Of War games are on sale on Steam as the final day in the THQ Week. I highly recommend getting the Dawn Of War Platinum Edition for 5 Euro (probably 5 dollars in the US), since it contains everything launched up to and including Dark Crusade, the series' peak.

I haven't had the chance to try out DoW II yet, but it may also be worth checking out. It's up for 15 Euro.

I'll let Pez fill in the remaining prices. :-P

If you haven't played any of the Sam & Max games from Telltale, you really should. This weekend they're offering Night of the Raving Dead for free. It's my favorite episode from season 2, and has some really great humor. Check it out! If you like it, the whole season is just $10.
