Today's Telltale Games sale is The Telltale Holiday Pack: All three seasons of Sam & Max, Wallace & Gromit, Strong Bad, Puzzle Agent, Bone and Poker Night for $49.95. That's a really great deal for someone who hasn't played any Telltale games yet, but the deal appears to be broken right now, like most of the multi-item deals have been so far. I'll keep an eye on Telltale's forums, to see what they're going to do about it.

For 360 gamers, Wal-Mart is offering select Platinum Hits games in a buy 2 get 1 free deal. There are 30-some games available, and those include: Left 4 Dead, Soul Calibur IV, the Orange Box, Mass Effect GOTY, Bioshock, Halo 3, Resident Evil 5, Fallout an Lego Indiana Jones.

The next set of objectives in The Great Steam Treasure Hunt are up.
- It's Better to Give - Send a gift to a friend
- Take One for the Team - Make a Sacrifice in Call of Duty: Black Ops
- Breaker, Breaker - Set a leaderboard score of at least 11,200,000 for 'Bonus Mode' in Shatter
- Zombie Zoo - Create a Crass Menagerie in Left 4 Dead 2

Only [STRIKE]one[/STRIKE] two games on sale, though (almost missed Left 4 Dead 2, since I have that achievement already):
Shatter $2.50
Left 4 Dead 2 $4.99

Also of note, if you're a TF2 player and want your hat, you'll need to go to the treasure hunt page and hit the link to claim your hat. It won't just show up in your inventory.

Telltale still has the Holiday Pack on sale. I guess when they say "Every day, for the next 30 days, we're offering a new deal in the Telltale Store!", they have a pretty strange definition of "every day", or of "new".

Wal-Mart has a pretty good in-store only deal of Xbox 360 250GB Slim Console + $75 Walmart Gift Card for $299.

Apparently I already HAD 5 of the achievements done. Free hat for the win!
Yeah, I've hardly had anything to do, since I'm not spending money on games if I wouldn't have bought them anyway (which means I've had nothing to get so far). I was pleasantly surprised to find I already had two objectives done today. Apparently gifting the extra copies of Half-Life 2 and Episode One (that I got when I bought the orange box) was enough to count as gifting a game to a friend.

Well, you did...

1.) Buy a game.
and
2.) Give it to someone else instead of yourself...

... so yeah, that's gifting a game :) I sent a friend a copy of G-mod on her birthday, so I'm good on that regard as well.

Okay, who even cares what other sales are going on today:
Humble Indie Bundle #2 is up for one week.
- Braid
- Cortex Command
- Machinarium
- Osmos
- Revenge of the Titans

Pay what you want but, please, don't be a dick. The money is split between the developers and two charities, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child's Play. This is a great chance to get some great games. You get them DRM-free for Windows, Mac and Linux. If things go like last year, there might even be some added as bonuses.

Okay, there are other sales going on today:

GOG.com is having a massive holiday sale, and by massive I mean that far more than I can list is discounted. I think this week might just be Atari owned titles, but that still means awesome games like:
Planescape: Torment $6.99
Baldur's Gate $6.99
Baldur's Gate 2 $6.99
Psychonauts $6.99
Beyond Good and Evil $6.99
The Longest Journey $5.99
Master of Orion 1&2 $4.19
Evil Genius $4.99
and a lot more, make sure to post your favorite GOG game to the thread! I think I'm going to grab Planescape: Torment myself. Loaned my copy to a friend years ago, and never got it back.

Also, GOG.com has Tyrian 2000 for free.

[STRIKE]- Sneak Peek - Download and watch a trailer from each of the following games - Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Homefront, BRINK, Red Faction®: Armageddon™, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and Portal 2[/STRIKE]
- Steam Gimme (formerly known as "Sneak Peek") - Turns out this one is kind of hard to track. All eligible Steam accounts are now entered for this objective. Nice work!
- Tunnel Vision - Become a Nosalis Hunter in Metro 2033
- Cause and Effect - Create a Destruction Frenzy in Just Cause 2
- Beat It - Set a leaderboard score of at least 3,770,488 for 'Survival Best Score' in Beat Hazard

The corresponding sales:
Metro 2033 $9.99
Just Cause 2 $7.49
Beat Hazard $2.50

---------- Post added at 01:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:25 PM ----------

Amazon.com has some good deals on console games
Darksiders $14.99
Lost Planet 2 $19.99
Demon's Souls (PS3) $19.99
and more

Anyone disappointed in the Steam Treasure Hunt thingy? It started well, but it seems like the quality in their choice of games dropped dramatically.

I grabbed Metro 2033 today, the first game I've bought during the treasure hunt.
It's a good game, if a bit flawed. It's a very Russian take on the genre.

- Your guns suck, mostly being cobbled together from scrap. Hell, you need to PUMP some of them with AIR.
- Your ammo sucks and anything better costs significantly.
- Your miner's light drains power like crazy and you need to pump up a capacitor to keep it going.
- Fights aren't epic, but small and intense.

it's very much inspired by post-communist values and steeped in the lore of the country.

Not much new today, a lot of previously mentioned sales are still going on, though.

One new thing, Impulse has Puzzle Quest 2 for $4.95 Personally I'd pass, since I like achievements and you only get those on Steam, but it is a good price.

Wouldn't you know it, just as I post that I go to find that there is finally a new deal in the 30 Days of Telltale, 50%-off any Back to the Future merchandise. However the deal appears to be borked at the moment. I'll try and check back with details of what merchandise is covered later. Though I think it's two shirt designs and a license plate. I have no idea if the card game counts.

This offer is now working. So thats, T-shirts for $9.48 each, the OUTATIME license plate for $14.98, or the card game for $9.98.

GOG isn't a download system. It doesn't have any program to run other than the games (and their respective installers). If you want the Steam in-game overlay, you can set them up to run with it, but other than that I don't you don't miss out on anything. The games are all old enough that they don't have achievements, don't get patched and you can download them from GOG as many times as you want. Plus, you get bonuses from GOG that Steam doesn't offer, like soundtracks.

Buzz the Tower - Set a leaderboard score of at least 37 for 'Beach' in Flight Control HD
