Since I don't have an Xbox at all, I have missed out on ME1 and will miss out on ME2. *sad fat hobbit*

Well, I'm about halfway through the main storyline of my in depth playthrough of ME 1. My GOD I missed out on so much by rushing through the main storyline the first time I played it. I never even got to the point the first time where you got the specialization talent for your class.

It's like playing a whole nother game.

Woohoo IT'S HERE

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TPfJ1qY4Z4[/ame]

The full length Mass Effect 2 cimematic 'Blur' trailer. We don't have a smiley that's giddy enough to properly reflect my excitement!

EDIT: We now also have this:

If these go down, just check YouTube for it. Or DL it to your 360, which you should have anyways. :p

Fuck yes! Nice.

I've been playing ME1 religiously since Sunday morning. I want to finish the game one last time.

And GOD DAMN at 0:18.... they can make beautiful graphics all right. Who the hell is that and does Shepard get to grind her? :)

The hot girl at 0:18 is named Miranda Lawson. She's one of the main female characters, so we'll probably have a shot at her, yes.

And while I'm a huge Martin Sheen fan, I think his voice may be a little too distinctive. Breaks immersion for me.

Having said that itsy bitsy nitpick though, I'm now going to watch those videos non-stop for the rest of the night. Want this game soooooooo much...

Also, I think we might have found a krogan even more badass than Wrex now. THAT GUY FUCKING SOLO'D A THRESHER MAW!!!!

I was definitely in the "He ain't Wrex so he must not be cool" camp, but yeah. Damn.
In Krogan society, females don't wear make-up. Males do. And by make-up, we of course mean thresher maw guts and viscera.

As for Miranda Lawson,
she was apparently engineered by Cerberus to be the perfect woman in form and personality. Which throws her right into my "not trusting you, bitch" pile. Even if she's voiced and modeled after Yvonne Strahovski.

My only issue with Martin Sheen's voice? The pseudo-goons on the PA forums turning into weak-at-the-knees buffoons because he's in the game.

All I'm hoping is that you'll be able to have more possible love interests.

MEI was okay but its like why can't you have both??

I wonder if you can decide or not if you can kill this Krogen as well.

I shot Wrex in the first one. Just pulled out my pistol and said "Get the fuck out the way"

In the recent GameInformer magazine I got they had an interesting article on ME2. Apparently they were comparing the new Nomrandy to the Enterprise and the old Normandy to the Millenium Falcon.

You can also buy fish for your aquarium as well from what I read.

Should probably re install and replay MEI just so when I get MEII I'lll have all my saved shit to start with.

The part where I had to choose to kill Wrex was tough. In the end... I gave him life... just so that he can feel the doomed feeling of his race some more. :decision:

Yea, I hated how they shut down one love angle the MOMENT you said something nice to Liara. I was like, OH SHIT, I thought I was just flirting! How the FUCK does Ashley know? Telepathic? GODDAMN, how are playahs supposed to roll in the 2400s?

Actually installing MEI right now. Pretty excited about ME2.

Yeah hope Bioware fixed the love triangle a bit. Tough when you only got one angle to go on lol.

This, AVP, ModNation Racers, and GOWIII are the most anticipated titles I'm looking forward too.

I'm wondering how you'll be able to kill Shepard off though if you want too, who will you play as then in the 3rd one?

If its like the self sacrificing crap like ending at FO3 then I'm not sacrificing him that way.

I want a heroic noble, go down in flames of glory way.

That, or give her a big hug (after carefully ensuring that all weaponisable objecs are well out of arm's reach). I mean, being built from the ground up by freakin' Cerberus? Damn, that has to suck.

Why, yes, I generally play Paragon. What was your first hint?

While I was thinking about ME2 yesterday, I realized I no longer have my old save game on the PC version. That means I will be unable to really "continue" my old Shepard, which made me kind of sad.

I was thinking of playing through again with a new Shepard. Last time I was a Paragon, but maybe this time I will play a Renegade, but I admit, it is hard for me to choose the "bad" options in dialogue and such. I might just play a Paragon again but switch up my partners, last time I used pretty much Garrus and Ashley, with some Liara mixed in, maybe I should take Tali and Wrex for more of a spin this time around, or even Kaiden, who in my last play pretty much stood around my ship till I killed him off to make sweet love to Ashley. :peace:

In the end, I am just glad Garrus is back as a recruitable in ME2. He was my favorite companion. Wrex seems to win most of the popularity with fans, but I always liked Garrus because he seemed like a guy trying to do the right thing any way he could, a bit cold sometimes, a bit honest others. Him and Tali were actually my favorite characters overall, even though I never took Tali fighting with me, depending on how I like the new characters I might make them my fighting duo in ME2.

Absolutely agreed on Garrus and Tali, but Wrex was definitely my favorite. I have a soft spot for the noble warrior type. I don't think Canderous/Mandalore ever left my party in the KotOR games, even if my character was a Light Sider.

Really I thought Mass Effect would've helped out people like you, as the Renegade choices are also absolutely hilarious. "It's a big, stupid jellyfish!" And of course, face punching.

I went with making two saved games that I'm going to play through ME 2 with. My paragon Shepard is a male soldier, and my renegade Shepard is a female vanguard. Both are Spacer/War Heroes, I think (I haven't played in a while, 360's sent to Microsoft), and both killed Kaiden.

Of the few times I've run through the game, Garrus was the only one that I always had on my team.

Am doing a deep run on Mass Effect as an Infiltrator.Love the game, but the small loading sequences when moving around stations (Citadel,Ferrous, etc)still piss me off.

Wow, that stealth seems awful OP. It won't stop me from using it, though.
It is actually the sole reason I have decided when I replay the game, I am going to be an infiltrator, so that when I go into ME2 I can take that role and have that kickass ability. Last time I was a soldier.

I think you'll have an option to change your class even if you import a file from ME1, so it shouldn't matter.
It is more for consistency. Since I lost my old save I am going to make a new one of a new Shepard, so I can lead it into ME2.

Actually, that makes me wonder, how are they going to handle the small, little choices in ME2 for those that never played the first one or lost the save? For instance...

Ashley or Kaiden will appear in ME2 based on who you saved and who you sacrificed in ME1

You can have a possible romance with Ashley as a male, and Kaiden as a female, or Liara as either gender. How is the game going to know who you "boinked" if it has no previous save and play off that when they appear?

How is the game going to know if you did a side quest for the character? Wrex appearing in his armor, finding the data on the Geth for Tali, etc... and play off those in ME2?

Also, and this is just an observation.

Why can't we get a human woman that is neither a supposed anti-alien xenophobe or a crazy bitch? Ashley was awfully xenophobic, and considering Miranda is part of Cerebrus, she is probably not going to be super supportive of alien races considering their whole mantra is human superiority, and Zero, well... she speaks for herself.

Overflight

Wait... what is that exactly?

Zombie Shepard? Reaper implanted Shepard? Evil twin/clone Shepard? Shepard when you choose the Renegade path? Shepard with really bad acne?
None of the above. In case you REALLY want to know (spoilering it despite hearing it happens in the first few minutes of the game):

Shepard actually dies in the beginning of the game. Cerberus brings him back to life via some weird multi-million credits secret project. So I guess it's Zombie Cyborg Shepard.

If Tali isn't back in ME2, I think I know who's partnering with Liara and me.
It's Liara that's not coming back. Tali however, is.

I actually started my new playthrough of ME1, but I am having issues getting going again on it. I guess I just am having problems deciding how I want to play, since I already played a Paragon, but I have a huge amount of issues forcing myself to play a Renegade. It's just not in my bones. Makes the play unsatisfying. Plus, it's somewhat more laggy then I remember.

I think in the end I will just recreate my old guy in ME2, I was already a Soldier (Commando) so I can easily make him become either a Soldier again or an Infiltrator. I just hope it has something like KOTOR2 that allows me to set many of the little things, like Ashley being alive and how the two had a "relationship". I don't want those little plot points glazed over.
