Meh, I still find Sylar at his worst waaay more entertaining than some of the other main characters that are still around, no matter the circumstances.

All in all, I think this season is being much better than the previous one. Most of it makes sense! And I feel the writers have at least some idea of what they want to do, unlike in books 3 and 4.

yeah i'm sorry i got the seasons mixed up just that fight could have been epic like how they screwed it up at the end of season one as well whats the point of all these powers if we cant have a decent mini mega boss fight with a lot of collateral damage?

LOL the kids singing the theme to "The Greatest American Hero"! I was really liking the whole hole Sue Thomas/file-clerk bit... until her power split a hole in her wall. *sigh* Dazzler knock-off here we come.

Yes, what is the point of having all these world destroying powers if you're not going to have epic action scenes? If they're not going to do stuff like that, maybe they should consider going a more subtle route instead. Stop giving characters the cliche X-men beat-em-up powers, and start examining a broader scope of abilities, maybe something without obvious military application. The tattoo guy who can control earth is an interesting start, but how about more creative use of subtle powers?

Ugh. MORE whining about powers. And could this show rip off X-Men anymore? Now they have a Magneto and a Brotherhood.

And you're right. Let's DO something with these powers. They serve almost no point in the plot as it other than pretty occasional special FX.

I had hoped that the new writers would speed up the glacial pace, but if anything, that episode was even slower. There were maybe four major plot advancements in that one hour show.

Well, season 1 was perfect. Did we want the big epic fight? Yea but think of like this;

If they had a big epic fight in the season 1 finale, how would it have played out? Peter would win, at least up until he lost control of his radio active powers, since Sylar couldnt heal then and Peter could.

PLUS

Assuming NBC played it smart for the following seasons, giving us the instant gratification of a big fight in season 1 would turn some people off. Not a lot but some people watch the big fight and go "well, i doubt they'll top that", tv shows are like any form of entertainment, "always keep them wanting more".

Now, by season 3, they coulda gave us a couple mid sized fights but the behind doors shit was lame ;\

I still watch it and it's a little better than season two and three. I like the fact they've scaled back on heroes and are focusing on just a few. I also like the heroes getting back to their day to day activities. The Sylar/Matt thing is enjoyable. And Hiro and Ando are fun to watch. The storyline where the guy wanted to kill himself because he brought shame to his family for copying his ass was great. Unfortunately, the rest of the characters are boring. I wish they had done season one as a stand alone mini series because it was a fun ride. Like I said I still watch but unlike season one I would not recommend it to any friends or coworkers.

Haven't watched last night's episode yet, but I found last week's to be the most enjoyable episode in a while.

I really like the carnival concept, the actor will always be scummy dirty T-Bag from Prison Break to me but I think he's pulling off the carnival master very well. I loved the iconic posing as he was "welcoming" Sylar in at the end. I also liked how they brought Sylar back as he was terribly missed.

For the first time in a long time, Peter isn't annoying me. And while color-combat power seems WAY cheesy, I'm willing to give it a try.

Figured someone was aware of Claire, figured it wasn't Gretchen, but didn't see invisibility coming (pun semi intended). That being said, I am still VERY done with Claire in general. Please move along. And take Tracy with you.

And give me more Hiro. Repeated story line or not (and really, we get it, time travel is scary dangerous bad risky), him and Ando are too entertaining to psas up.

the music powers were pretty cool in my opinion and of course sylar came back from the grave again.

does this mean we have to sylars now? My opinion is stil held Peter's mom is a bitch. Was she the mom in the remake of the Manchurian Candidate?

Holy fucking shit...this is one damn good episode of Heroes tonight (11/02/09). One of the best thus far of the season..and its barely half way over..

Hiro tossing out a Chrono Trigger reference, sweet!

Seeing Charlie again :( Seeing Issac :(

Knowing he saved her but she is still dying from the tumor :(

Okay, THAT was actually good. If they could keep up this pacing and these story twists, the show might be saved.

If they do it right, the show could be in for a complete and utter reboot.

If Sylar never killed Charlie, and never met with Peter in Odessa, who knows what else doesn't happen. And now he has to jump through time hoops (figuratively speaking) for the carny guy to get Charlie back? Who knows what else he could change!

PLUS..what if Hiro was telling the truth, and he visited the future and saw how Sylar was truly killed? All the heroes gathering to defeat him.. Imagine the series finale, one big battle royal, FINALLY? I'll hang in there just to see that happen..

Its about time we got some full on time line screw ups, for all we know Peter never got Claires power, went nuclear, took out NY, Arthur never nabbed Adam's ability, who knows.. I just pray they take this opportunity..please take it and USE it, there is still some life left in the show, reboot it now, get rid of Claire, get rid of Nikki/Jessica/Whoever, get rid of Mohinder and Matt. De-power Sylar or kill him, bring in more villains, new heroes, and something different than OMG TEH WORLD IZ ENDING!

I still watch the show, but I won't be able to check the new episode until tomorrow. I like the new season a lot more than the previous two and I think I'll be watching the show until the end. I still watch smallville so the bar is not so high

It really does seem like this season is shaping up rather nicely. I also dug the Chrono Trigger reference... very apt for Hiro, considering all the time travel. Let's just hope he doesn't pull a Chrono Cross and fuck everything up for everyone BECAUSE of that time traveling.

I actually didn't like this episode. Arggh. I was okay with this season. I'll see where it goes, it just feels like nothing will come of it; nothing major, anyway.

I really wish they'd shake things up.

This is how I felt too. I was hoping for something earth shattering (maybe killing off a character for real?). I'm sure I'll keep watching though. Hell, I've stuck with it this long.

Yeah, but plot point actually occurred over the course of the hour, which is a vast improvement.

If you've read spoilers, they ARE killing off 1 character this season, 1 male character. I can tell you down to two people who its between (based on spoilers). Interesting choices if you ask me.

I think it's going to be Noah Bennet... he's been getting fed shit all this season and I think it's going to stick.
Killing off the only major character with no powers would be too bad.

I'd kind of like to see Sylar go b/c they are writing anything good for him.

It looks like they are setting up for Hiro to go, with the tumor and all.

He has an easy out though: Go back in time to see Linderman, get him to heal Hiro via Hiro's father's influence or as a favor. Or save the kid who got murdered by the crooked cop. Ether is fairly simply for Hiro.

Killing Hiro would certainly kill the show. He's the only popular character they've got.

Peter got the healing powers from that kid already... no need for Linderman...

Also, yay, Charlie is back... even if she's in Limbo... i hope Hiro gets a happy ending eventually.

Maybe Charlie is keeping Peter's old fling company.
lol..no she is stuck in the alternate timeline future, that they basically wrote off since it was a plothole, charlie is just somewhere in the past or future of the current timeline

K, I'm bringing this back up.

This is definitely the best season since the 1st. There's actually some sort of plot/direction. They aren't fundamentally changing the personality of the characters to the point of unbelievability. The plot twists are believable. Will we ever get some big ass smack down fight between any of the characters? Unfortunately, probably not. I don't think they'll ever regain the popularity they had of the 1st season, meaning they probably won't have the budget to do something big. I can live with that.

Though, I guess you COULD argue we finally got to see Peter and Sylar fight.

I don't really like what they're doing with Nathan and Sylar. They're just dragging it out.

They could set up an epic fight b/t Sylar and Peter, but they probably won't do that soon.

As for the carnies, that holds some potential. I just hope Hiro gets Charlie back.

If find [strike]The Brotherhood[/strike] the carnival plot kind of annoying. At least the carnies are starting to act less like sheep. I also still want to slap Claire and Tracy for whining about powers. And why the hell is Tracy whining about turning to ice again? She seemed "cool" enough with it before to give a clever wink to Claire.

J

Joe Johnson

I think Tracy's problem was more that she didn't seem to be able to control it.

As to the Nathan/Sylar thing, watch the latest episode.

I have a love/hate thing with the carnies. I like that there is actually a group in this universe who gathered together. Is the carnie leader gathering these heroes not to destroy, but to build his own land somewhere?

Sounds a bit like Genosha. I don't mind if the writers dip into some of the X-men storylines. Hell, I'd welcome that if done properly. I'd just like to see some serious fighting b/t groups. Carnage and chaos. I'm tired of the one-on-one little fights. Can we get an entire episode battle royale?
