That bite is awfully clean and neat for a shark. I call bullshit.

Razor sharp teeth make for clean and neat chunks of flesh ripped out.

I hereby sentence you to watch 12 straight hours of shark week.

Since this is the daily mail, I'd say there's a 50% chance that the story is real, and a 90% chance that the photo is shopped.

Is that shopped? Hmm... maybe it... well, a shark probably couldn't be that size, but... hmm... then again... a shark might not be able to jump like that... I dunno...

The article itself doesn't even sound believable.

They interviewed a 19-year-old surfer, talked about a 21-year-old student being "killed off" (wonderful tact) and claim the shark in the photo was "badly injured".

Badly injured? That motherfucker would be DEAD.

Awful shoop. The reason it looks wrong to us is because it's WRONG.

To me, the photo in the OP looks like it is a smooth line that has been drawn on rather than one with a more ragged edge like that dead sea lion you posted.

And I have probably watched more shows on sharks over the years than you'd believe. I wanted to be a marine biologist with a specialty in shark studies. I couldn't get my PADI certification thanks to my sinuses and being prone to motion sickness, so I didn't bother pursuing my degree. My dream was to move to Australia and swim with those beautiful creatures without a cage.

Thing that bothers me about the picture in the OP is the lack of innards. Unlike the seal pic where there is clearly still organs and etc. The OP pic is just clean meat.

What did the bigger shark do, bite in and suck the filling out like a twinkie?
