Yeah, this is one of those "wow, Disney can still do something right without Pixar's help now and then" movies. I very much enjoyed it.

No need to hand in the man card. The movie was amusing, and Amy Adams is smoking hot. I was actually just telling a coworker that one of the wierd things about going to Disney World is ignoring that all of the park princesses are hot.

I really loved that scene, I want to see my musicals where people notice how the situation is.

All the men in here, have obviously been castrated.

Man cards are hence forth revoked.
That is why I love my Gay Card 8)

I been to Disney World. All the park princesses ARE hot. :) I love this movie.

Saying "Amy Adams" is hot and that being the only reason you watched it is plausible.

But those guys (straight) saying it was a "fantastic film" need to switch teams, or at least admit they need to.

Amy Adams is hot. I watched it because I live with a seven year old girl. And it wasn't a bad movie. It didn't change my life or anything, but it wasn't bad. It made me laugh a couple of times.

Man, you're harsher than Charissinger when it comes to people liking movies. ;)

My wife loves all kinds of Fairy Tales (Disney and alternatives) so I watch with her. There are some films I don't like but this film is not bad.
:)

Which team am I on? >.>
You are a girl! ;) hence you can like the film :)
Yeah, but I think she meant people to question their sexuality!
well.. she did say straight guys (like me) may need to switch team if I like the film. I'm comfortable with my sexuality to like this film :) (plus my wife said she be the only one to take my man card.... *whip cracks* heheheheh)

I rate most live action Disney movies like Enchanted and Freaky Friday right up there with trash like Sandra Bullock and Shia Lawhatever movies.

Filmfanatic?

Well certainly not "Film Critic".

Also, I'm not hating, if you're into movies like Enchanted and Freaky Friday, just make it a trifecta and go buy your copies of Twilight.

Oh no. Trust me, I hate Twilight and all of its travesties along with the rest of them.

When it comes to films, I am a HUGE geek when it comes to the subject. However, I am not the type of movie lover who is focused into solely films for their artistic genius (i.e. Citizen Kane) or dramas that examine real life (i.e. The Bicycle Thieves). Don't get me wrong, I do believe in having a good story for a film. I've also watched plain dramas and I do like them. I'm just more of a movie lover who enjoys a good piece of entertainment. In fact, based on my DVD collection, I'd say that I'm a bit of a genre guy.

For example, let us take Steve Spielberg. I have watched his films like Schindler's List and Munich and I do consider them great films. However, in my movie collection, you're more apt to find works of his like Indiana Jones, E.T. and Jurassic Park. This is just me personally, but those films have more rewatchability for me.

And yet you said Freaky Friday was good.

It completely invalidates that entire post you just made.
How? As I said, I enjoy a nice piece of entertainment. I thought it was a nice bit of entertainment. Let me note, however, that I've only seen it once and that was in theaters. My opinion might change if I were to revisit it.

Still, that post sort of covers my general philosophy on film. Your mileage may vary, of course, but there's nothing wrong with a difference in opinion.

EDIT: Also, I said Freaky Friday was pretty good, not good. To me, pretty good means a movie that has some good stuff, but it's ultimately one you don't need to see.

We need more Transformers discussions. That movie's like the lightning rod of movie hate. Then at least we can all agree to hate something. :)

(Except me, I like Transformers)

NO.

NO NO NO NO NO.

We have already seen how much that has divided the forum in the past and I wish not to see our beloved Halforums torn asunder.

...Besides, I liked the first one (just the first one, mind you) and don't wish to incur more hate upon me.
