Please tell me they don't believe this is real...

I have posters, postcards, books, photos, framed art, of Hitler, Mao, Stalin, etc and I'll probably hang the Mao in a classroom in the future. An image is only what the hanger meant to put across. Does my copy of Mein Kampf mean I profess the same view as Hitler? I keep it and some other German things in rather prominent display but no one has ever called me a nazi for it. The tree and this non propoganda depiction of Mao should be the same.

Well crap. I'd've preferred to have been told that before I bothered rushing around today finishing up my Christmas shopping. Would've saved me some aggravation

The issue isn't whether or not Obama holds the same views as Mao, but whether or not it's right to have the picture of a man whose policies and actions stood in stark contrast to America's ideals: repression of religion, murder of dissenters, indoctrination, and so on on an official White House ANYTHING.

I was being hypothetical.

The point I was trying to make was that even if it were true--and I don't mean to insinuate that it is-- it would be stupid to assume that the reason it's there is because Obama hates America and Christmas.

Hypothetically speaking it would be really stupid PR move by the White House to have it there but that's so obvious that it's probably obnoxious of me to say so. Sorry everyone.

To be clear: I don't personally think it's real but I would not be personally offended if it were. I would think the white house fucked up though.

Also I wouldn't mind having those ornaments myself actually. They look kind of cool.

Because that's ridiculous, dead chinese = good for the US, and Obama would never do anything that's good for the country.

Sometimes I envy conspiracy theorists. It must be so soothing to live in a world where everything is controlled by the Conspiracy. Even if you fight against the Conspiracy from your secret underground lair in your mother's basement in Idaho, you still don't have to worry your pretty little head with thinking.
