The article that goes along with that image basically says studios need to accept that geeks lie and steal, and will therefore never support a movie through ticket sales. Calling geeks blowhards is nothing compared to that.

Its from "Spidey Super Stories" which was based off that old kids show. Also, it was apparently written by Joss Whedon's dad.

I think a better way of saying it is "Stop catering to a niche audience, when said audience is unable to solely support your films." It's not that we are dishonest as much as we are a much smaller pie than most audiences.
