You ever have one of those dreams where it seems like everything is going great, then you begin to realize to your horror that it's actually a nightmare? That's what this dream job is starting to feel like.
I think you need the REAL rant thread for that one. Ouch.A meeting for mediating our foreclosure has just been moved up a few months. I have a feeling this isn't going to be good news.

Ugh, the person bringing the meat for Easter Dinner showed up an hour late, with a raw hunk of prime rib. It was not aged, or seasoned before hand. And they only cooked it until till it turned gray on the outside. we might as well ate it as soon as they walked in the door.
They had to make Au jus from a package because it was not cooked long enough to drop any juices or blood.
Oh, little stuff... uh, my sister got pissed at me at Easter Dinner because I still haven't gotten those tests on my thyroid the doctor ordered?
A walk to the park for a picnic, stargazing and quiet conversation. Why would you cancel a date for lack of money?Um... I had to cancel the date I had on Saturday because my folks needed the money?

Go on.so, there's this girl.....
You better watch him and make sure he didn't get worms. So, My dad had a cow die this winter. He put it out into the swamp to get rid of it. I was walking in the woods today and my dog disappeared for almost 15 minutes. I'm pretty sure he ran off and found that god damn stinky pile of rotten cow guts. He smelled something fierce and his belly was bulged out. God damn it, I'm gonna have to clean up puke tomorrow I know it. Why the fuck would any animal touch something like that?
Tabletop Roleplaying is far from dead. D&D 4E is fairly successful, Pathfinder is selling gangbusters - in fact I think this weekend or next is Paizo-Con in Seattle - heck, even the little Third-Party Publisher I write for has sold more than 200 copies each of our 4 books, in less than 8 months. In THIS economy and with almost no marketing beyond word of mouth.I keep getting moments of creativity but just havent been pushing to make things happen. Lately I just feel like I am not focused on anything.
My body hurts from hitting the gym again.
Still pissed from playing WOW over the weekend. It is fustrating trying to get my Fire mage to uber status. I hate needing raids to get all the good items.
Looked at an old role playing game I created years ago. Happy memories but they turned sad because it feels like table top role palying is dead.
Did I forget to mention that I feel I cant focus on any one thing.
I hear you on the wasting time in the fantasy world. I try to limit my time. The minute I stopped playing WoW and other MMO's my creativity energy and muse came back in full. when i quit wasting time playing the job in the fantasy world, I can create worlds of my own, yanno?
Lying Bastard;366373 Tabletop Roleplaying is far from dead. D&D 4E is fairly successful said:I have been toying with the idea of hitting the game store again. It has been years since I have played any table top. My fiance keeps pushing me to go. Pick up a game and call a few friends. Hhhmmm. Might be worth checking out the new D&D books. Just from glancing through them I see a ton of changes.
If you want a pretty easy (and entertaining) introduction to 4E, I suggest subscribing to the Dungeons and Dragons podcast and listening to the games that Scott Kurtz, the Penny Arcade guys, and Wil Wheaton play together. They started before 4e was even released so a lot of things are explained pretty clearly.Might be worth checking out the new D&D books. Just from glancing through them I see a ton of changes.
