Went to repair 1 of 3 monitors yesterday. One remained broken. Curiosity (and sheer boredom on a slow day) piqued me to re-disassemble it today and I discovered one of the capacitors I had soldered in was oriented backwards. Took it out, resoldered into the correct position, and now working beautifully. Best of all, it didn't explode!

I guess there is always that group of people who think shooting fish in a barrel is good sport.

I didn't find where I could vote for yours. Is voting open to the public?
yup, it is! It's just the star rating system thing, down on the left... Not very professional, especially considering dinamic IPs and such, but still.

Was it at least kind of not terrible?

I've FINALLY drawn a picture of my D&D character that I am happy with! Of course, that will only last until I notice how badly I messed up the foreshortening. That should probably take me a few days though, so for now I'm happy with it!

So I'm working on a fan-made 4th edition D&D module for the Dragonlance Nexus (dlnexus.com). Today, I finished playtesting (everyone loved it). Now it enters the editing, layout, and art phase. I was curious to see how much I'd written (I didn't know, since I store different parts in different .rtf documents), so I pasted all my writing into a word document and pressed 'double-space'. 250 pages.

That's a big module. Even reducing to 2/3 (spacing in a finished print product is usually a bit tighter) that's still gonna be around 170+.

Yeah, I was surprised when my PFRPG module topped 70 pages, but the print version will be around 50, including art and maps. It got great reviews from the players at MisCon 24 this weekend, so hopefully it will sell nicely.

I'm free, did my last exam ever on Saturday and been partying ever since

now if I would only have my masters thesis magically made for me I would be one happy man

Went to the casino on Monday and played the penny slots and I managed to break even. I was ahead about $30 but I decided to keep playing and ended up breaking even. But still breaking even is better than coming out behind.

Hylian, I had no idea you were a 65-year-old woman. Did you enjoy gumming the lukewarm buffet mashed potatoes afterwards? :awesome:
