I don't mind when people read the gossip stuff knowing full well that it isn't important. The people who come up to me and say, "Oh my god did you hear?" like some major catastrophe had occurred, "John and Kate bought a new sofa, and it's hideous*!" Who the hell cares?!

*that was just a hypothetical I don't know anything about John and Kate or their sofa preferences.

But I spend thousands on a car stereo system, my hobby is spl competitions, and I wear sunglasses inside only because if I take them off I will lose them. Have I become A douche??

Sound pressure level. Basically who has the biggest doof doof in the car. Who"s subwoofer moves the most air. Of course I always lose, because I balance my system. I dont have a 120 watt front end to a 2400 watt bass. I was quite happy with my 240 watt fronts and 800 watt rear ported subby. Until I found out the back of my wagon did not lock properly....so thankful the people in my neighbourhood showed me this by stealing my system and almost causing a fire by leaving the live wires from the amp hanging in the back.

fear not, hopefully next month I shall ahve a new car with a new system. This one has a budget in the 5k+ area :D!!!

Also I have another reason for wearing my sunglasses inside.....they are also wireless headphones for my Ipod and handsfree kit for my phone....I culd be waiting for a call.

Also just for clarification, although my last system was pretty loud, It never got turned up unless I was outside city limits. Always well under the legal limit when in residential areas. Only ever blasted it out at the dirt drags and on the farm. Peeps need to sleep!

Yeah, that's pretty thoroughly douchey. You're comparing who was the loudest toys in the smallest car that will fit it.

You're spending more than $5,000 on a stereo system you don't even listen to. That's fucked up.

I at least had a medium sized car. 81 Corrola was the hell beast. So much room fro wiring in the side panels. god i miss her. I found the technical side of it very challenging. Taking a certain amount of power and turning that into the most air moved. I once beat a guy with 400+ watts on me and he was running a 15" against my lil 12. Alas I have givenup the competition. My new pet project is goign to be my next car. Taking the already torque filled aussie v8 stroker (215kw) and going to add a whipple supercharger for hopefully 330kw. I'd be happy with flywheel figured but if I score that at the rears I'd be stoked. main goal is huge amounts of torque to melt tyres in a matter of minutes. We seem to be having an influx of buick superchaged v6's at burnout comps lately so I'm trying to bring back the power of the 8. All the while embarrassing ls1 boys who think they are hot stuff because they have an extra litre in size on me. Bitches don't know bout my factory stroker!

and the new stereo build, most of the money will be on the new head deck. Need a new touch screen to plug my ipod into. I listen to it plenty when I am out of the city. Bush driving can get tiring.Need something to keep me awake.

Whooo. Exciting stuff. Because after all, there's nothing wrong with melting tires for show and they're free to boot.

Not much to do out in the country. Doubley so when our internet filter comes through. Got to do something to pass the time. And I aint one for shooting kangaroos.

Instead of tricking out a stupid car that you'll be done with in less than five years, why not take that 5k and do a little bit of travelling? A cruise or something - a memory that will last a long time, instead of making your shitbox go "DURF DURF" louder than the next fucking retard's.

That stereo was goign to be transplanted into ever car I ever woned until somebody stole it. Still have a few bits and pieces laying around waiting to be installed in the new car. Dont like boats so cruise's are out and I travel at least once a year for a few weeks for nationals. Only have 3 states left to see now. Next year we are going to south africa as well. As for the shitbox, I like my baby buick berlina. She is classy round these parts, and I like the durf durf because I can feel the music when my ears arnt so good. And the memory of spending 40+ hours working on my corolla , spending countless nights getting everything to fit and taking out the trophy to my division with a system that cost half as much as everbody else?? Pretty sure that memory will last a long time to me.

You haven't answered, either. :p

Soliloquoy, I think it's someone else's turn to be asked. Or mine, I guess, having just asking someone.

Yup that whole "who has the loudest doof doof" is what makes me want to pull my hair out for some reason. You can't even enjoy the music like that, it's all distorted. Ugh, ridiculous.

But oh well... what do I care, right? It's your car and your bad taste =P

I spent 2 grand on a winch for my Jeep when I had it. Why do you guys care so much about how other people spend their money? If he likes his car to go doof doof, then more power to him. I personally think that people who drop hundreds of dollars on D&D crap and comic books are retards. You see what I did there?

Chaz: shoosh! it's my turn to dare Null!

Null: Our today theme is "People you like"
Take pictures of the people in your life that you like and post them saying who that is and why you like them.
